I never understood why the random crits vote threshold is so high, it's usually really hard or downright impossible to pass the vote even when majority of players want it.

Lowering the percentage of votes required to the same as the crit on cap vote requires would make more sense and feel fair.

I don't know why crits and spread are lumped in together, can we not have random crits and no spread or no random crits with random spread?
I like random crits, so I'd say keep it as it is.

IIRC if you turn off random crits/spread it's more than likely to kill off the server quicker due to players wanting them

This would be the best of both worlds but it will probably never happen :(
 
There are people that actively avoid servers with random crits off, that's why the percentage is higher than 50%.

It also wasn't the way the game was designed to be played, there are weapons that have no crit as a penalty.

Should open a test comp server with no crits or spread at all and see how popular it is
 
That sounds like too much work just to determine the popularity of it, considering vast majority of players seem to prefer random crits already.
True, make the new vanilla servers have no crits or spread and see if people notice lol
