It's just your way of integrating yourself into the community isn't the correct way to do it.
You can't come in and just say "Hey guys! Wanna be friends?"
That's weird.
I would suggest not applying when you don't know you have people to vouch for you.

Play in the servers, get to know people, then apply when you figure out if you're needed.

All it is is that you're trying too hard too early. Stay longer, and maybe reapply, but you don't get admin right out of the gate.
