Declined Prevent walling off monuments

It limits lower-tier gameplay drastically especially when there are few monuments of one type. Walling off monuments limits map use because all lower-tier players are funneled on to the few remaining monuments. Fewer players will join the Skial Rust server if they can not start.

You must not play Official servers then. A lot of community servers do not allow this for the reason mentioned in the original post.

I'm on the fence on this one. On one hand its a server that has no group limits so this kind of stuff happens. No group limit servers tend to have an alpha clan or several larger clans that eventually duke it out and end the behaviour for the wipe.

I'd counter suggest with monitoring this type of playing strategy for a few wipes to see if it continues and come to a decision then.

There should be other T1 monuments you can farm. If all of them were walled off then it would be a problem.

I am not even sure we are allowed to protect monuments in the community tab. That would be a massive gameplay mod.

In the past I've played community servers (not modded servers) that had a rule of no walling off monuments. But it was enforced by an admin (as opposed to a mod). It's been a while since I've seen that rule so it's possible things might have changed or the fact that I tend to play on either duo or trio servers.

Regardless, I agree with declining it. Rust is a sandbox game and you should be able to play it how you want. New neighbor set up shop next to you and killing you? Stay up all night and wall off their base for the lulz.
