From what I've played, i'm torn between Dead Space Series F.E.A.R(and F.E.A.R Files), and Amnesia: Dark Decent. What about you guys?

Yume Nikki. (If all those Madotsuki avatars didn't make that painfully obvious.)

does pokemon count? its so horrifying when you walk on grass then, budaubadnufausidgfiagdsufg!!!! a wild thing appeared!

The only thing scary about pokemon is that it teaches children to train cocks to eviscerate each other.

amnesia is FUCKING SCARY
My cousin told me that it was the only game he's ever played which really scared him. And he's the sort of guy who laughs while watching creepy horror flicks. So, yeah. Scary.

Even though LFD and LFD2 scare the living shit out of me, I've always thought that BioShock 1 was a great horror-like game. The Splicers creeped me out at first, and I almost shit myself when I pissed off 2 Big Daddies at once.

Ive played every Resident Evil, and my favorite is still Code Veronica X and 2
Silent Hill, Wish I still had my copy of 2 and 3
The Suffering 1&2
Fatal Frame (2 especially)
and the Mann Manor event in Tf2

People think because of Rapture's setting, it's horror. I don't want to put it into a post-apacolyptic category. I don't really know what it would fall under.

Well, I guess that depends on what you define as horror. Some people call "The Path" a horror game. Except that it isn't scary, it's just boring and convoluted.

Bioshock isn't exactly horror. The same way the haunted mansion at Disneyland isn't exactly scary. I would call it suspense rather than horror. But in game terms it's treated as an FPS with heavy story element.
