Dude. Message me. I shut my game off, I get in there in literally 2 minutes. Don't complain about basic shit. We're all online. HELL of a lot of admins are online. They can fire up the game in a minute, so don't cry about it.
Shit.

You're asking to be bothered 24/7, got it. I'm trying to be courteous but I guess I just get shit for it.

For the record: you're acting like an asshole.

They're all in different games. I'm not going to pull them out of something if they aren't playing TF2.
i don't mind, ever. really! if i am just playing a game i am never too busy to hop on tf2 and deal with stupid kids. :) and if my status is online on steam, i'm around and likely not doing anything.

Everyone - even Oaky, who I think is an admin himself and has never even REPORTED anything to me or seen me in action - knows that.

As long as I'm not wrangling my kid, sexing my wife, or falling asleep, I'll gladly pull myself away from whatever to come drop the banhammer. :)

Here's the question... I've never actually bothered to look... Just sheer laziness...

When I'm at work, does it automatically set me to away/snooze/idle/whatever?

I'm inclined to make the ban longer, since they joined JUST to make racial slurs. Any objections on 3 days?

yep, away after 5 minutes, snooze after 2 hrs.
OK, good deal.

So, yeah... If I'm actually listed online I'm either actually here or my wife let my kid sit at my desk to play with my mouse (he's 20 months old and he has a perfect palm-style grip, BTW, Osprey).

If I was in the middle of a L4D2 campaign and I had to leave for some reason, I would be mad. Not to mention, I would be letting down three other people.

I don't feel like being made the asshole--even if you say I'm not, I still feel like one because I'd put myself in your shoes--for requesting that people follow the rules.

I signed up for admin, I signed up for leaving my sound on high during 2 AM and waking up to Steam messages about hackers on Turbine.
[Shrug]
Just what the good admins badass admins do.

Yeah, you made the situation 1000x better.

The only thing you won't drop is a chance to X-ray a guy with an intact lightbulb stuck in his sphincter, right?

No, I understand where you're coming from completely. Don't worry :) But, as an admin, keeping our servers clean and awesome to be in is my priority. If I really feel like I shouldn't leave a game and I get an IM I can usually wrangle someone else who isn't in game to deal with it and if it's a situation like this where there is good evidence of rule-breaking I don't even have to leave my game. I can just open up SourceBans and take care of it. Alerting an admin asap is the best way to deal with something like this, IMO.

Spare me the lecture. There were no admins playing TF2.

I don't pay $5 a month to be called the N word and then be told that I'm crying about it. What a shit show...
