I believe that the !report button should be replaced with a !calladmin command instead. Why? Because by having the !report command you are putting the onus of evidence on the reporter which seems like a dumb thing to do considering the reporter went out of their way to report the rule breaker in the first place. Add onto this the fact that most people won't !votereport to actually pass the report as well as get evidence leads me to believe that the current system of banning rule breakers is inefficient. I believe that if this command were to be replaced with a !calladmin command it would lead to speedier and clearer results. Although it would warn the offender that an admin is coming, typing in !report does warns the offender all the same and gives them plenty of time to stop what they're doing. Which means that in order for a report to be efficient, the reporter needs to gain evidence BEFORE typing !report and warning the offender and I believe that most of the people that populate Skial server's don't actually know that you're required to post evidence to get any actual grounds to ban the offender which makes the report command obsolete. Just a very simple command replacement that would make Skial servers' method of banning rule breakers way more efficient.

Good thing I was taking a demo already, I made a report with evidence on those two.

oh right this is in the suggestions section, I thought it was in the tf2 section

The solution to this is simple, in advanced options you can now set your tf2 to automatically start recording a demo every time you join a map.

Very useful for when somebody breaks the rules but you require evidence.

The problem with the system is that players either don't know how to record evidence or are too lazy to record evidence, and then they assume that the admins will make it to the server in time before the reported person leaves. For most cases (such as racism, spam, and voteabuse), it's not a big deal since we can use the player's stat page to get evidence. However, when it's a hacker/griefer, they usually leave the server as soon as the report goes through, and the same thing would happen with !calladmin.

I think having a little blurb in the chat along the lines of "Someone breaking the rules? Record a demo by typing record "name" in the console." Obviously some players won't even know what a console is, but at least it reminds them that we aren't all-seeing and can't act on players without any evidence.

In the same way people will likely stop breaking the rules if someone were to report them using !votereport people will just stop breaking the rules when someone uses !calladmin

If you use the slash (/) instead of the exclamation point (!), then the command is silent, and nobody is alerted. Cheaters aren't going to stop cheating because they won't see what you typed.

/callforhelp would be very helpful.

The report command does not require evidence. It merely says that if you go on the forums to add evidence, it is more likely it will be solved in case an admin didn't immediately see your report.

The report command is the same as !calladmin except better.
