Your ads are crashing my game.

The title says it all. I join, big ass loud music starts, weird grey box glitches out and doesn't move from my screen, can't pause the ad, and after some seconds i crash.
I say it's the ad because i don't have this problem on valve servers.

I've never heard of this before. Are you sure no other factor is causing this?

Ad's on the server are there to keep things running, if you do not enjoy adds then donate to the servers and you will not get anymore.

And sadly your pc is the problem not the adverts as this is the first i seen any reported issue. Also they use MOTD build into tf2/steam

I never said I do not enjoy ads. I wasn't happy when you introduced them but I never complained.
But when these ads are crashing my game, well, that's a different story.
I'm saying that I have a problem that happens only when I try to skip the ad like I always did these years.
But since a couple of weeks this thing happens.

I'm not pointing the finger directly to someone I'm just saying that I have this problem in your server that is making me crash that's all.

You dont need to click the advertisement, just wait until the video ends and hit the enter button.

This can't always be happening, as we can see from your recent sessions:

You played for nearly 2 hours and nearly 1 hour the time before that.

Does it only happen sometimes? What if you don't skip the ad?
Is there a specific advert that you get that crashes the game?

It happens almost everytime, If I don't skip the ad it doesn't happen.
It always happens when the ad with the loud music about the cubic pc shows up. (Can't remember the name sorry.)
I have vanilla tf2.

It happened just before my actual session, some minutes ago.
When I reopened Tf2 it played the rest of the ad's music that was cutted out due to the crash.
Just in the menu, not in the server.
And when I joined this time, no ad was played.

Sorry, it's the one with the laptop.
I just was able to play, the other ad played, the one with the old man and the dude raging. Didn't give me a problem.

I would encourage people to fix the real problem instead of telling people to disable the motd. It is not that we are being greedy, but you will be locked out of features like the new contracts we put in.

If you are crashing when a video is displayed, it would likely indicate that you have a virus or that you don't have updated drivers.

There's also no need for you to click the ad unless you are interested in it. If you still think a particular ad is the issue, then you can send us a screenshot of the ad and the time you saw it (including timezone).
