So I'm thinking of getting a Vive for Christmas, and I'm going to need a VR-ready PC, even though I don't play any game other than Rocket League

I've been thinking about building my own, but then I saw this one on Amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/CYBERPOWERPC...?srs=3023694011&ie=UTF8&qid=1478153315&sr=8-6

Basically what it is:
  • System: Intel i5-6500 3.2GHz Quad-Core | Intel B150 Chipset | 8GB DDR4 | 1TB HDD | 24X DVD±RW Dual-Layer Super-Multi Drive | Genuine Windows 10 Home 64-bit
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GTX1060 6GB video card | VR ready | audio: 7.1 channel | Gigabit LAN | keyboard and mouse

They sell it for $930, and based on what I calculated from PC parts picker, without the case/fan/DVD reader/cooler/power supply, it already comes up to $720

I know most people always say "build your own, it'll be cheaper", but does this one seem worth it to you guys?

It's worth it if you don't trust yourself not to fuck up while building your own.

I've upgraded my old PC a few times, just the video cards and power source though. Is it easy to fuck something up when building it yourself?

I personally don't think so but I know plenty of people that handle the parts too rough, my first build was fucked because the person building it was way too rough with the cpu.

You could train a chimp to reliably assemble computers so long as it didn't build up too much static. If all the parts work and you keep yourself grounded you should be fine. What took me the longest when building mine was things seeming like they might not fit (e.g. cramming a 6+2pin into a 8 pin slot, getting my processor seated)
