I wonder if those who played the open beta and kept the files installed will have a shorter download time since the open beta was the full game at the time if I'm not mistaken

I imagine there will still be some downloading for changes and stuff but still

TBH i'm sorta on the fence about hopping into Overwatch. It seems fun but i have the backthought of Blizzard turning on THE $HILLING FACTOR with it.

What do you mean shilling factor?

If you're talking about money related things they said all future maps, DLC, heroes, etc. will be free unless they decide to do a huge expansion

They were also talking about doing microtransactions to buy more loot boxes which I was worried about at first but people pointed out you can get them for free indefinitely since there's no level cap

Unless people who played in the open beta completely uninstalled it, yeah. People are going to have shorter download times.

For those taking this seriously, it'sajoke.png

People who already have it downloaded just have to update

theres apparantly a possibility of 3 new heros as the game launches with the biggest clues leading to one being a support sniper called Sombra, though there are speculations its gonna be 3 heros because that's what'd be missing to complete the 6/6/5/4 of the roster but also this tweet

Looks like its just some launch teaser thing, not a hint at new heroes

well i've already been too sold on the idea and possibility of new heroes so im gonna ride that ride untill the end

They didn't deny the possibility of new heroes past launch. It just looks like they're going to wait and see how things play out once the game goes live

"There will be no more heroes at launch. At launch its 21 heroes: what you see is what you get." Jeff said. "Whether in the future Overwatch has more heroes is sort of a TBD to us."

"A lot of this is... there's not like this master plan we know exactly what we want to try. Let's see the health of the game and where it's at. Let's see where the fans are at, and what they want."

"Are they feeling like, 'now that I have Genji, D.Va, and Mei, I feel overwhelmed and there's too many Heroes... or is it like 'Wow the game's really fun but like it's starting to feel stale, can you guys add something?' We're gonna gauge it from there."

"There's not going to be a heroes store at launch," Jeff reiterated.

Some of that quote concerns me tho
There's not going to be a heroes store at launch," Jeff reiterated.

This implies they may be adding a hero store later, or at least its a possibility

I really hope we're not going to have to pay 15 something dollars to unlock new heroes
