I have noticed these past few months several people joining in and causing problems, ranging from racism to dDoS threats. It would be nice to see the servers nice and calm without the need to report and hope it goes through. I help those in need if I see them struggling. I am nice individual and will strive to better myself when I can. I view everyone as equals and I can take a joke.​
 
I only saw the one where I said to watch what they say. I guess I need to be a little more vigulent. I also only gave a warning becuase I saw an admin in the past give several warning before they muted a person. I know this alone isn't a good basis on not reporting right away. Thank you for pointing that out. I shall work on it.
 
I don't like it when people put down on their apps that they notice people causing problems yet they have never made a single report. This shows a lack of care in my opinion. You're complaining about issues in a server with nothing to show for it.

We can't say it's his responsibility to make reports if there's other ways to handle these offenders such as reporting to admins. Reports are just better as they not only keep evidence but also show that the user knows what they're doing. AFAIK, they're not a requirement. Furthermore:

He had warned them, I'm not saying that that's wrong but if I were to ban, that'd likely be the first thing I'd do before jumping to the punishment of removing someone from a server for a period of time or allowing, likewise with their potential to communicate. The instances after could have been a slip up which, while I'm initially not okay with, is an admitted character flaw of his, something he said he'd work on. We really shouldn't be jumping to conclusions like this.

Let's look at some positives like:
  • He has loads of server time
  • He has a rather friendly attitude
  • He's willing to change for the benefit of his own and Skial
Only flaws are potentially in his app and from the aforementioned character flaw. I'm not going to +/-1 yet as I'd like to see where this goes.

But if someone is saying that they notice problem users on servers and don't do anything about it, then I don't see them as being self-motivated to do anything about it. Now that he wants to be an admin, they're motivated?

If he were to say something along the lines that he notices there isn't an active admin x time, then we'd be having a different conversation.

However, he's saying that all kinds of things are happening in a server, "ranging from racism to dDoS threats." None of which he has a single report for from him. So what I read from this is, "This stuff is happening. I know about it, but I didn't write up a report or do anything about it myself."

While reports aren't a requirement for admin, if he's going to put down on his app that problems are happening in a server without doing anything about it, then I feel that it should be weighed against him.

I'm sure he's a great player and friendly person, but I don't see the competence. For that reason I am standing behind my -1

Couple of people have said that he didn't report an incident of racism, did any of those who picked up on this point go ahead and report the racism that was left unchecked or just condemn him for not taking action?

I wasn't going to report that person knowing full well at least half the admins of skial have read this application and my post specifically. I honestly assumed one of them would have taken care of that by now, but apparently not. If i was an admin and saw that i would have silenced the person already.
