Any other reason you should be admin:
I'm an older guy who's played TF2 since it's release. When I found Skial, I found a group of super talented TF2 players, and it's always been a fun time and a challenge. Enough fun and top players attracted to Skial servers, that it's been worth it to come back. I've been slapped with a temporary ban once by user {}{}{}{}{}{} -or somesuch name for joking around on the server saying "ADMIN: Everyone shut the F*UCK up!" - which annoyed this guy enough to ban me for 3 days! Lesson learned. But again, I was just joking. Absolutely no one thought I was trying to come off as an actual admin.

I'm applying for Admin for Skial 2fort because it's the server I play the most, and more and more often, every night I see it overrun with people using racist or homophobic slurs, and it just ruins the game for so many players. The whole community suffers. Each night I step in, and have to do a bit of yelling at someone to stop with the slurs, or the racism, and the voteban wars begin for people breaking the rules. I've heard some terrible things said toward specific minorities that just really rub me the wrong way, and I just don't think it's what gaming is all about.

All too often, like tonight, the people I try and tell a few rules to, turn on me and the racists / homophobic guys who shout slurs band together and tonight they actually muted me in return for trying to clean up the server a bit and remind people of a few rules! I've never bothered registering for a gaming server forum before, but tonight was kind of the last straw. I appreciate the fact that the servers are there and you guys keep them running for people to enjoy. It's a shame that they have to be policed in the way that they are. The democratic voting plugin usually takes care of the majority of the idiots, but I digress...

The homophobia / racism thing feels like it's on a huge uptick lately, and it's just incredibly annoying to me. I think that Skial is a bit of a classier place than that, an it attracts a different caliber of player, other than your random hate speech idiot.

I would like to be given the chance to stick around nearly nightly on Skial 2Fort and try to boot some of the more abusive griefers who break the rules on specifically racism and homophobia, nightly - so that we can have a haven for truly competitive and *fun* TF2, without these kind of guys ruining it.

So, sort of starting my own TF2 server, if you guys will have me, I would love to help gently administer Skial 2Fort for a while. Thanks for hearing me out!

First of all, you would be required to administrate all of our servers. That means all the servers that you can find here: https://www.skial.com/servers/
Would you feel up for that?

Second thing is, please re-consider what was actually asked here when you were supposed to ban your own Steam ID, because what you answered is, simply said, wrong. Please re-check what was asked here: https://www.skial.com/forms/apply-for-admin.4/respond and edit your post accordingly. You should see a link there too that leads you to a helpful page. This is the most I can tell you at the moment.

Third time's the charm, I am not really caring alot about people shit talking but what's that with calling people fuckbags, dickheads or asking them to suck your dick? Are you getting nervous very fast? Can people get you in that mood so easily?

No, I resorted to name calling tonight and it never happens. It isn't my character to do so, but thought I'd include it in my screenshot, as I was pretty angry.
It tends to only happen after someone's been very VERY abusive, (Which is super rare!) and tonight I kind of hit my limit with these characters.

I wouldn't be using that language as an admin, and I certainly don't do it in real life.
Maybe it's my mexican cartoon scary userpic, or that I tend to speak out quite often when people are saying this stuff, but people tend to go ballistic, as I'm sure you're aware, when called out on racism etc.
I'm not 100% familiar with the correct commands, but I'll study up. And I'm a stay at home parent, so yep, I'd I have time to rotate and donate time to doing some proper administration, seeing as I spend lots of time in TF2.

Think I have that right, again forgive me. Haven't done too much with tf2 administration before. (Although I did set up a private server, custom maps, sourcebans plugins etc and stuff on a dedicated server on Dreamhost once)
Familiar with that end of things, just the explicit commands I need to have handy, such as ban. I'm a tired too. Let me know if you need anything else.

You talk a lot in this application, but you don't say much other than that you don't like the homophobia, racism, and vote abuse.

I personally believe you are romanticizing the position. You do not need to be an admin to combat the racism, homophobia, and vote abuse that goes on in the servers.

Being silenced at all by admins is pretty bad but being silenced twice for admin impersonation?

Even if you believe your heart is in the right place, I can see you doing more harm than good. -1

I can see you as a bigger help doing reports.

You don't seem like the kind of guy who would keep a level head, rather you seem like one who would get angry too easily.

I keep a level head, but I report those that break the rules, or bring everyone down in such a way that they deserve it. Nothing more. I laugh and play regularly on Skial like anyone else.

The 'impersonating admin' in the past, as I readily admitted, was simply done in chat. Saying jokey things like "ADMIN: NO RUNNING!" etc.
People who reported on it were doing their jobs I suppose, but I thought it was silly.

Tayto: One reason I'm applying is that I've seen people advertising LMAOBOX and other hacks pretty frequently, and there is no one around to stop it. Frequent hacking and even
a few people saying they're ddos'ing the server in chat! So like I said, I've never bothered to report anyone for anything until today, I just want to see Skial survive and help out.

And Sroy: I'm exactly the opposite, and that's why I applied for Admin. I very rarely get pushed to the edge! ( I work with kids ) I wanted to show by that screenshot that yep, I do
sometimes dish out an insult or two, but you have to understand, in this circumstance I was targeted _for_ having someone muted who was racially harassing people! A frustrating
night on Skial, and one that made me want to help out with a bunch of bad behavior on one server lately. Not to get even, to help keep the peace on a server I like quite a bit, with
a bunch of players I actually want to see stick around.

Keep doing what you're doing. That is a huge help and it is appreciated. I think you're in over your head as far as becoming an admin though so I'm standing behind my -1.

If you are not easily frazzled by griefers, then why did you keep throwing insults back at them? Shouldn't a level-headed person realize when they are just being trolled back? At some point in being trolled, a level-headed person just steps back, puts their adult pants on, and says, "You know what. I'm just not going to reply back. It's not worth my time. If it goes too far where rules begin to be broken (i.e. votemenu abuse), I'll report them or see if I can get in touch with an admin on my friends list. But I'm not going to keep feeding them."

I am just not sure you are as level-headed as you say. By the way, your ban command is still wrong. Good luck with the app though.
 
Though you have great connection time, as others have said you get angry incredibly fast.
I'd recommend you work on keeping calm and not insulting every troll that comes your way, instead just be the mature one, ask them to stop then report if necessary.
I would copy paste examples of your anger issues but it's literally your entire chat.
 
Attitude and general personality need to be worked. You don't need to prove yourself, we can observe that with ease, responding back to posts with criticism in a negative manner isn't idolized nor accepted either. -1
