New AFK kick system

My name is TF2PublicFerret, I haunt some of the European Skial servers and I do commentaries in them. I have been doing so for the last year and a half now and its been good going. Most people I meet are happy with my commentaries and they like it when I do them. Recently there has been a new measure in that people in spectator are considered to be AFK after a designated period of time. This makes recordings nigh impossible.

Is there any chance of rewinding that rule or making an exception?

Okay, further investigation has revealed other facets of the AFK system. It seems that it ignores most keyboard keys, but not the spacebar or either the left or right mouse buttons. WASD have no effect while freecamming, the timer still ticks down.

Spectators were always high priority to be kicked as people may actually want to play and you are taking up their spot.

The AFK plugin was replaced because it did not work properly all the time. If you don't want to be kicked then you need to do what you just found out. There is no other way for us to tell if you are actually AFK spectating or not.

Don't usually post here, but thought I'd mention a lot of players are hating the new AFK system, hard enough getting a drink on a long game of 2fort, but if you need to take a piss or anything longer and you're kicked to a another server. Making me leave earlier than usual, as you might know I'm a reg on 2fort+ NY, and have been for 2 years, this new AFK system is fine for the casual guy who just drops in, but a lot of the regs who play day and night on Skial servers this isn't going over very well, at least on 2fort+ NY.

Any chance to reconsider?

Well being AFK shouldn't be a problem anyways if you're actually playing.

I find I leave skial servers earlier too. As a donator I think I get kicked too soon, tbh.

AFK manager kicks donators after 9 minutes of inactivity. If that's too soon for you than idk what to tell you

If you are a doner and get kicked within 9 minutes of being afk, then what are you doing? Well for one you're wasting a slot for some one who would want to play. I understand if you will be gone to go pee for a minute but if you're gunna go over 5 minutes I think you should just leave the server. When I used to play I just left so I did not hold up a slot for no reason.

Gadda think others wanna play the game, you might want too also but why be in the way if you're not playing in general.
