I've heard Shin Megami Tensei IV is pretty good.

I don't really recommend Dream Team. I've seen videos of it and sboles is right about the hand holding.

I highly recommend Link Between Worlds.

My life would be complete if they somehow beat Microsoft and Sony up enough to get Crash Bandicoot and Banjo-Kazooie.

Just because a game holds your hand doesn't mean that it isn't fun. Plus you unlock a harder difficulty once you beat it the first time and unlike the first playthrough its actually challenging.

Bravely Default could be worth a look for you if you're into RPG.

In extreme cases (Such as dream team) it's exactly that. It gets tedious.

Also having to beat the game once to unlock an actually challenging story is bs.
