Gameplay was all I was talking about. That's only correct on a gameplay standpoint.
4 has a abundance of modes brawl didnt, and a lot more to do. Plus the removal of subspace. And newcomers, stages, ect.

Yeah, on a gameplay level they are basically the same. I can see why Shoe wants a new game more, but I just never saw a lot if hype about treasure tracker until, like, a week ago so I was suprised.Gameplay was all I was talking about.
completely different? no. mechanics were changed but it still 100% felt like smash.Only 4 is like that. 64>Melee was a huge difference, Melee>Brawl was completely different, Brawl>4 are almost the same. 3DS>Wii U is even less of a difference.
it doesn't have to be innovative to be good. it's probably the best one in the series.Random new question: What's your least-favorite Nintendo game?
Mine's probably NSMBU, because it didn't really change anything and the 3D ones are better IMO.
Mario Party 8. It had so much potential for a Wii Mario Party. 9 is what a Wii Mario Party title should be like. 8 just came up short for me.Random new question: What's your least-favorite Nintendo game?
Not as much as the jump between other games.completely different? no. mechanics were changed but it still 100% felt like smash.
I hated thge change in formula in mario party 9 and island tour, and looks like they are doing the same for 10 unfortunately.Mario Party 8. It had so much potential for a Wii Mario Party. 9 is what a Wii Mario Party title should be like. 8 just came up short for me.
A lot of people love Mario Party 9. I haven't played it myself but idk, can't judge until I play it myself.I hated thge change in formula in mario party 9 and island tour, and looks like they are doing the same for 10 unfortunately.
I disagree that it's the ONLY one, however, I'm pretty sure they did that on purpose. Considering how popular brawl was and how many people enjoyed it, I can see why it would be good to make 4's gameplay similar from a sales standpoint. Plus, the addition of Mewtwo and some other smaller things (such as badges) makes it pretty obvious they are trying to appeal to both audiences, from long time fans to casuals to even competitive players (Omega forms and for glory). Even if people disagree that FD is the best, it's still obvious what they were going for. At least, IMO.4 is the only smash game that feels like an older installment.
I didn't really mind that so much since it keeps the series interesting but 8 is so unpolished compared to 9 and I thought it was a little ambitious on Nintendo's part to make 8 right after they finished making the Wii and using programming that they were still mastering at the time.I hated thge change in formula in mario party 9 and island tour, and looks like they are doing the same for 10 unfortunately.
the boards in 8 had really good ideas implemented into them, 8 is probably my favorite next to the first 3.I didn't really mind that so much since it keeps the series interesting but 8 is so unpolished compared to 9 and I thought it was a little ambitious on Nintendo's part to make 8 right after they finished making the Wii and using programming that they were still mastering at the time.
Unpopular opinion, but I have to agree.still think the new one is best for comp.
you don't have to abuse the hell about the games exploits to do well.
I like the boards in 8. Especially the hotels gimmick.the boards in 8 had really good ideas implemented into them, 8 is probably my favorite next to the first 3.
The only stage I liked from 8 was bowser's where you steal Stars from others. What pissed me off was that you had to unlock in 8 instead of just getting it like you did in 7.the boards in 8 had really good ideas implemented into them, 8 is probably my favorite next to the first 3.
I have not played a ton of the older ones, I started at 4 and went to 6,7,8. And DS.My favorite Mario Party games
1.Mario Party 5
2.Mario Party 2
3.Mario Party 3
4.Mario Party 4
5.Mario Party
6.Mario Party 7
7.Mario Party 8
8.Mario Party DS
9.Mario Party Advanced
I left some out, the ones I left out are ones I haven't played.
Unpopular opinion, but I have to agree.
If I played any Smash competitively, it would be 4. Despite what others say I think it's nice and balanced, and fun. Melee exploits and chain grabs ARE NOT FUN.
You're both very ill informed and I don't feel like discussing this with either of you.still think the new one is best for comp.
