Not really. They're still saying that they're fine with let's plays and other fan works. They just didn't use their own words, they took someone elses and said "I agree with this".
Remember back when nintendo was going to take profit on every youtube video using their product? Remember when they tried to take Melee out of EVO?

I know, but Nintendo must have advertised SOME use for them. Also from the contex I thought he was going to play with the Amiibos using Smash.

The day 1 releases are:
Peach, Mario, Link, Fox, Yoshi, DK, Samus, Kirby, Villager, Wii Fit Trainer, Pikachu, and Marth.
December and Pleburary have some waves too, since they are being released in waves.
Shulk will be gamestop exclusive and February.
Basically, you can use them in multiple games but In smash they are CPUs you can name and train up to make more difficult. They also inherit habits from the enemies they face, so if you train it yourself it can inherit your playstyle.
Im getting one for all my mains because swag, and a few iconic ones for my display case.
I still haven't played "For Fun" mode yet, I do though sometimes play with items on just to fuck about.
I played for fun mode and went kirby and we got spirit tracks, I went to the front of the train and the other two guys were just fighting in the back, they totally ignored me until they got close and took a few swings at me, though I avoided. One of them died and the other went directly for me, then a smash ball spawned and I grabbed it and killed him.

if you're looking to get better then that gives you even more of a reason to play floor gory. you will never learn anything unless you play against people that are better than you.
