Detailed Explanation / Screenshots / Demos:There was a situation about an hour ago which I believe was handled very poorly by your Admin, Meowcenary. On other threads, as you may have seen, there was a supposed hacker. It was apparent to all of us at the time that he was hacking, but (not so) mysteriously, he became mortal again right when your Admin (Meowcenary) showed up.
Now, almost immediately before Meowcenary arrived, a man named "Sam the Sam" had just gone on a rampage in voice chat. He was going crazy about the hacker and, frankly, he just wouldn't shut up. Several people had told him (both in voice and text chat) that he needed to cool down (because he was annoying almost everyone in the server).
Well, when Meowcenary showed up, he declared the hacker innocent and muted "Sam the Sam"'s so-called "wife" for multiple instances of racism and sacreligious talk (a completely justified mute, in my opinion). Well, clearly, "Sam the Sam" didn't appreciate this and this set him off. He proceeded to talk (almost nonstop) in voice chat for about half an hour. Many people (including myself) tried to calm him down, and when I finally felt that I had enough, I typed up !votemenu and started the vote to mute and gag him.
As with 99% of votes that ever happens on Skial servers, it didn't pass. However, Meowcenary felt that it was nessicary to MUTE ME from the server because "Sam the Sam" was whining like a child in voice chat about some of the people trying to calm him down (specifically me and another guy named "jOhN cEnA etc." or something like that). He felt that my calling for a vote was an abuse of the vote system, and that it warranted a 24 hour mute of me.
I feel that a 24 hour mute was completely unwarranted and unjust punishment for me doing what I felt was necessary to defuse the situation. On top of all of this, something I haven't mentioned yet is that "Sam the Sam" was also using derogatory words in voice chat on a regular basis. I don't know if Meowcenary was off getting a soda or something, but he swore to me that he heard nothing of this. And, on top of everything else, "Sam the Sam"'s reaction to Meowcenary's muting his "wife" went a little something like this: "those god da*n immigrants taking our jobs and then coming on the internet just to be lazy admins." Obviously, I don't know what he said word-for-word, but that sums it up pretty nicely. Another instance of something he said that Meowcenary swears to me he didn't hear.
Clearly, I'm upset about how Meowcenary handeled this whole situation. I would appreciate some kind of comfort that Admins are not encouraged to use their powers in a biased manner however they see fit, even if that means punishing the innocent for doing something with good intentions. I don't know if I'll be coming back to Skial servers after this incident, but I sincerely hope that situations like this don't occur often on your servers.
