Declined Exclude the Idle server from the micspam rule

It is known that the Idle server is a fun server and people go there to farm and stuff. But people are also defacto permitted to play music (as long as it doesn't have racial slurs in it) on their mic through the use of programs (such as Winamp or VLC Media Player). My alt account was silenced on there earlier tonight because of a certain admin (not naming) saying that " "PLAYER: Mic spam not allowed."". Now I know for a fact that people have been micspamming on Idle for years with no issues (other than the racial slur rule) from admins. I propose that we exempt the Idle server from that rule with the added thing about racism. I personally go on there and like to hear music. If someone does have an issue with some of the music people play, they are free to mute them with the client.

I don't see why we should exclude ourselves from controlling spammers on any specific server. There are some circumstance I've seen people complain about.
  • Random babbling and shrieking.
  • Playing really bad quality music as if it TF2 voice chat wasn't bad enough.
  • Multiple people spamming music and voice clips at the same time.
If people don't care about it, I wouldn't consider it to be spam.

Does this mean we should only silence if people are complaining about it?

It means you should make a judgement call as to whether or not it is spam. Is it detrimental to the idle experience? Is what's coming over the mic wanted by the vast majority? Is the person trying to be a troll? etc..etc.
