What exactly is it? I've posted comments on threads that were about that thread but I still got warnings about thread crapping. What is considered thread crapping and what isn't? I'd really like to know.

Depends on the thread in question. If its reports or appeals some admins get nit-picky over posts if they don't help move a case forward for example.

If you would take a look at the skial poker tourney thread, you would see an example posted several times, by a poster named "the Renegade"

Message the moderator that gave you the warning and ask him what you did wrong.
This doesn't always work. One time I did ask what I did wrong when KillerZebra warned me for thread crapping and he never responded.
