I feel like I should switch my diet over to a vegetarian, at least. I've loved meat for a good chunk of my life, but as a kid, I'd eat only vegetables, bread, stuff like that.
My cousin shared this video, and it really hit me hard. It's French and pretty long, but if you have the time, you should give it a watch.
Trigger warning though, lots of animals being slaughtered and whatnot

I don't want to just change my diet entirely just because of the video, I do believe being vegetarian is healthier than eating just meat 5 times a week. It won't be as tasty at first, but meh.

EDIT: Make sure to jump on the dumb-rating train without explaining your opinion, that's what I love about you guys (except Thorin)

it is healthier than just eating meat but thats why we are omnivores so we eat vegetables and fruit and meat so yeah i dont see why you would want to be a vegetarian

I thought so too, but they debunk that in the video

Yeah no I don't care what you eat, but thats just bogus science that "definitively proves" that vegetarianism is better than a balanced omnivorous diet.

I don't have time to pull sources, but it's definitely better to eat a balanced diet of both meats and veggies than either one alone.
Also be wary of the Wikipedia page on Human nutrition, it's lacking citations in several areas.

How can you NOT love steak. Steaaaaaaaaaaaaaaak. STEAK.
I love a good steak.I've paid way more money than I should have for good meat

Debunked was a poor choice of word, but they do make good arguments.
If you don't have time to pull out resources, I doubt you took the time to watch the video. It doesn't say you shouldn't eat any meat, but that we don't need to eat all the meat we do, and that it's inhuman to do so due to all the awful processes that go through just for a 10 minutes meal.

how is it unhuman?
all carnivores/omnivores kill other animals to survive

I believe humans are omnivores for a reason. You can live off a vegan diet just possibly not as well. It'll be healthy but my vegan friend is sort of weak tbh not in a rude way. Maybe its just him

You have to consider the environment and your genetically disposed physical traits when selecting a diet. Very few people consider that. People just go OH HEY SOMEONE SAID THIS ISGOOD FOR YOU SO IM GONNA EAT IT AND THEN EAT LOTS OF IT CAUSE MORE GOOD.

Simple logic and a little bit of scientific basis can help you on your way. People in a colder climate would want to eat more fats and carbs/sugars so that they can deal with the cold climate better by maintaining a high body energy. Think fueling a fire. But with that you have to consider your metabolism as well. Your metabolism is pretty much your limiting factor. Feed it too much and you wont be able to burn off the extra fuel leading to weight gain. Feed it too little and you wont have the energy to do a lot of strenuous physical activity.

This bullshit about meat being bad for you is retarded. And sure, a purely meat based diet is bad for you but thats because we arent fucking carnivores.

It's not inhuman to eat them, what's inhuman is the way we breed, feed and slaughter them excessively for unnecessary meals
We don't need to eat meat every day, it's just because we like the taste of meat, but it comes with a big price that's not imposed on us but on animals that can't do shit about it

I completely agree, and it doesn't say meat is bad for you, I reassure you
The thing is, with America and the modern world overall, we as humans completely lost track of just eating what was necessary. We built cultures around food, and it's now integrated so deep within us that we couldn't even consider just not eating meat at all, because hey, "we're the top of the food chain, animals kill each other to survive", blahblah, but as I said in the earlier post:
It's not inhuman to eat them, what's inhuman is the way we breed, feed and slaughter them excessively for unnecessary meals

People in some parts of the world eat tens of times the amount of food they need compared to their amount of activity, while people on the other side of the world die due to the lack of food
I don't want to sound like a hippie activist, but just thinking about all that just pisses me off

Vegetarianism is interesting phenomenon. I think it's quite possible that eventually most of the population will become vegeterians and eat meaters will be despised by many, we'll see.

Still, I personally wouldn't mind being vegetarian, but it's just too convenient for me to eat meat and I also enjoy it.

I don't care what people eat. As long as you don't act all high and mighty just because you don't eat meat. Iv had to deal with alot of vegetarians who think like that.

Me personally I never would go Vegetarian. I eat fruits, veggies, huma--- I mean meat. It's all important and good for you as long as you don't eat a lot of it.
