we started demanding that they are not used in "games"
You're basically saying "He reported me and my friends for breaking rules."
Not that I am aware of. He was trying to gather evidence of the EU3 regulars and some other people who had joined in as shotgun heavy. I, and others felt uneasy about Tactical being around. I even recorded demos in case something happened...You're basically saying "He reported me and my friends for breaking rules."
Is there anything else? Has he reported someone for doing something not against the rules?
People shouldn't have to fear about being muted over what they say unless they are racist, spamming, scamming, or abusing vote menu. Next time you're with your buds tell them to type /rules in chat so that they can review them and not have to worry, plus its pretty hard to accidentally break them since most of them are fairly straightforward.almost an essay
This is was the point I tried to get over in my post, admins can enforce the rules just as Astir has done. tactical enforces the rules rigidly, and doesn't get any respect because of the regimental way he does it. Astir is a great guy, good fun to be around and talk to AND makes people follow the rules.EU3 was my home server and I have befriended many of the regulars.
They aren't saints and so is no one. The difference is that when I was with them, the server didn't die because I guided them into abiding the rules using subtle remarks and warnings.
I have played with Tactical a few time and however I normally don'tshare my onion on an applicant, I do not like his attitude nor do I trust him.
Yes, reporting players is necessary for everyone to do, but if you let a server die and regulars leave, there is something wrong with your attitude. I noticed that because of his presence the regulars who kept Dustbowl EU3 populated for the last year are moving towards other servers.
So in this case I will vouch for my friends (for they won't call an admin 'friend'). I have managed to let them follow the rules for an entire year without letting them leave. If you wonder wether I gave favored treatment to them, I didn't. You can go to the history of Josh and Ferret to see that even under my watch they shouldn't continue breaking rules. However, they returned.
It is his wrong (power hungry?) attitude that makes me not trust Tactical.
I think that they mean Tactical my be acting that way for Admin and not because he actually is interested in the rules which I do not have an opinion on because I don't know TacticalTo the people who are disagreeing to what I said, I'm going to say it again. There is nothing wrong with enforcing rules. From what I've heard of Tactical Grace, I feel like you guys are the kind of people who play music over the mic and get mad at him when he says it's against the rules. Which, by the way, is against the rules. Most of these comments that I've seen is about him being a "fun killer". I don't know if any of you have broken rules or if he's actually acting like a dictator and frankly, I don't care. Don't say he shouldn't become admin just because you want to continue to break rules on the server because that's what it looks like to me. And to reply to the person who got muted, changing your name while muted/gagged is also against the rules.
I think they are saying the manner which he does it isn't right. As in if you sing/play a song for 5-10 seconds he will outright mute you so that you'd be afraid of talking. He'll make you fear and detest admins instead of respecting them.I still think they're the ones who break rules and don't want him to become admin because then he can ban or mute/gag them for it.
There is the odd one or two people that plays music on the mic yes 9 times out of 10 there is always a /Mute or /Ban for the player that is committing the offence. All of the regulars of EU3 know the rules and have known them for some time. The only way you will see the truth if you come on EU3 around 8 to 11 a clock at night and have a look for yourself. Yes I agree but to enforce them with no respect is another thing by making the small and timid people hide in a corner so to speak. Making them not what to come back to skial or Eu3. That is not how an admin acts from what I have seen. There is nothing wrong with enforcing rules. From what I've heard of Tactical Grace, I feel like you guys are the kind of people who play music over the mic and get mad at him when he says it's against the rules.
