Skial Garry's Mod

I believe that this was already suggested, so I will just put my arguments:
Pros:

• It seems that Garry's mod is currently popular, probably thanks to gaming YouTube channels
  
• Although it isn't F2P, it is cheaper than CS:GO and such
• Like TF2 it has many community gamemodes, which are probably more popular than the game itself
• It is easier to customize code than TF2
• Custom addons that require client-side modifications can be organized into a workshop collection
• Garry's mod can mount some Source games from player's Steam library for content and maps
• There aren't issues like fast respawn, trading spam, class limitations...

Neutral:

• It doesn't have any kind of Steam inventory
• Updates are usually smaller than on other games
  
• You can set up a loading screen
• It isn't developed by Valve or any large company
• Standard gamemode doesn't have a goal

Cons:

• There aren't any quickplay systems
• It seems that there is no way to get an advert MOTD
• There a lot of gamemodes

That's all I knew to write while I was writing this...
If Skial Garry's mod servers can't happen, then it would be nice to have a forum section/other games subsection.

I think it'd be pretty cool but then again, I feel like it'd have a lot of bad things about it as well.

In my mind, that just feels like it would come out just like Jailbreak. Free killing and endless reports.

Then comes to mind is that if we had people messing with our props (like what Demon said) There would just be people reporting, "HE TOUCHED MY PROP!!!" It would be like if we had 35 jailbreak servers and were always full. There would be so many reports, that Botty would have to start a new website just to deal with all of the reports.

That's why sandbox & TTT servers are bad... But it would be good if it was Prop Hunt, Zombie Survival... (not DarkRP because of same reason as Sandbox)

Also just came to mind that there is nothing stopping some one from going around and killing everyone.

Karma system that's the standard on every TTT server. If you damage/kill someone that's on your side(ex: inno vs inno/detective, traitor vs traitor), you lose Karma. The lower your Karma gets, the less damage you do. And all the servers I've been on have an auto kick for when/if your Karma gets too low, usually around 400 (starts at 1000).

ULX, which is essential if you want to admin a server at all, adds a MOTD that you can mess with at will.

Prop Hunt, Zombie Survival...

In my opinion those are the most boring. Prop Hunt is sit there and wait to die. Zombie is to shoot something and camp in a room with 100 people, die and struggle to kill the campers.

I still think it should be TTT with an auto-kick system if your karma gets to a certain point. Since you lose points whenever you kill someone who isn't a traitor, people who freekill will get kicked pretty quickly by the server. If someone keeps coming back to do it over and over again, then someone can send in a report and an admin can take care of it. This makes sense, right?

Thing is then we might need a new team of admins to deal with Gmod. And in my opinion reports would be coming out the ass just like they do on Jailbreak. That's just me. I just see nothing good coming out of a Gmod server for Skial. Everyone hates each other as it is, lets not fan that flame.

I'm sure there would be a few people who could be an admin for Garry's Mod, especially if it was TTT. It's a popular gamemode and enjoyable, even when you have to admin it.

I used to think it was fun. Then every Youtuber started playing it and making videos of it. Then I hated it. It was just to much of the same thing for me. I think a Gmod server just would not work in my opinion. I'm sure it could work SOMEHOW but I don't see how it would really. I think it all has to do with money, but I'm sure Botty has more reasons.

Everyone thought Jailbreak would crash and burn within a month, but it's already been up for quite a bit. I think a TTT server could have a good run if Skial launched a server for it.

Maybe, but like I said. Money is the main issue. Hosting a server is not free after all. And just having 1 server for Gmod would not be tood good. It would get barred under a bunch of other more popular servers. It's just me and I see nothing good in it is all. Again, this is just me.

That's why donator's exist. You can advertise for the Gmod server on the forums and on the TF2 servers so that it doesn't get barred.
