I have it already! I really hope lots of people get it because I want to play it more. I started playing it again a few days ago.

I've had it. Anyone ever wants to play let me know. I haven't played a serious L4D match in a looooooong time

I wonder how in the world Valve makes money off all these sales and free giveaways.

Goodwill is a valuable benefit to them doing this. Ontop of the fact they are making a literal fortune off the steam market on those snow globe cards. Look how many have sold over the past few days, then realize Valve gets a sizable chunk of it

If you don't own L4D already, then you're a sad person.
(Lots of sad people on Skial.)

someone on my friendlist has it in his wishlist. Steam claimed I can get him a copy as a gift, as well as the store search results saying that it's marked down from $99.99 and the page title for the store page saying "Save 50%"

Yes TF2 probably feeds them a fair amount of money, but I was just basically stating how you can put so many games on sale and make some completely free and still turn a profit.
L4D2 is an old game. They're not really making money on actual sales anymore.

Then why is Half life 1 not free? Not even talking about source, just the original. Why not Tf2 classic? That does not make so much sense because these games are older, and I highly doubt Valve makes bundles of money from them.
