Help Me! mic problemz

So my microphone randomly stopped working yesterday. I use a shitty built in microphone and I was wondering if there are any control panels or whatever so change the mic settings and see if there is anything wrong with it.

Please don't say buy a new mic cause I'm 2 lazy to buy one and i will only do this as a last resort

no. it stopped completely working last night when i was on mumble :(

How long have you had the mic? How well did you take care of the mic? Sometimes the wire leads just break on their own after awhile. (especially if the mic is cheap)
