Change the way maps are voted upon in Jailbreak

I am suggesting that we change map voting in Jailbreak. Because the server usually does sit on one map, and rarely gets changed. And when it does, it doesnt last for more than 3 rounds. I am suggesting that, if possible, we can mandate that the maps have to be switched every (value) amount of rounds (Which means that the server would sit on a map for an extended period of time, before a new map would get voted upon), or that we completely remove RTV from the server, making it a rotational jailbreak server. This allows some variation in the game mode.

It seems like that Minecraft map is being ran quite a lot over the other maps so more variety would be nice

Its what the players choose. I wanted to play other maps but when i got there i started to prefer minecraftmap again because its in my opinion the best map, not to big and not to small, less bugs, ..

I think the current map vote is fine, requiring users to play on a different map could cause confusion and maybe even some people to leave.
 
Isn't a better solution to make the other maps more attracktive. I mean, there is a reasson people always vote for the minecraft map.

If a particular map is favored by the majority of the players on the server and they vote on it more often, doesn't that make the possibility higher that those players will stick around our server a lot more, while a forced map change without access to RTV would possible drive players away?

I just don't think this would be a logical change, as of right now, because we do maintain a healthy community on Jailbreak where the users do favor a particular map. And if they are happy, they will play more and drive in traffic. A custom mode is quite different from quick play, because it's critical to maintain a group of regulars, and I feel that this change could possible drive them away.
 
If there is a map good enough to play on that is approved by regulars like seth, grima, cube to be possible to play on in jailbreak they can promote to try out. Mr Batman Grima will get that fixed then to make the map actually change then, they eat out of his hand on the server. ;P

Sorry to say this, but there are more people then the regs. Altought they are an important part of the servers. The other 90% should also be looked at.

Its te testing out before putting it on the server i mean, if they think it will work without too many issues then it should get on the server. Its just that you cannot put a map on and make others promote forthe map if they didnt tried out themselves. Since more than half the server looks up to him he can get the maps changed. But it must be approved to be working or they will not listen to him if there actually is a new good map. People will not know off new worning maps because they stick with what they know is working.
Drum asked grima or someone else a few times to test the map before it got uploaded. So basically the new mapper just have to do the same and everything will be fine, more maps will be played then.

Also,its easier to ask someone u know and who knows where to look at and what to report in.

This. Most of the other maps are heinous.

-1 because its not worth the effort to force the maps if bad maps are gonna clear the server.
 
No. The reason it always stays on Minecart is because it's the most liked and best designed map.
Forcing people to play on the other maps (which are either big, poor designed, or just plain crappy) is not fun.

Considering all the other maps are either broken or just terrible, I wouldn't want to force players to play on those, when they can play on Minecart, which was basically made for Jailbreak.
 
-1 If more people want minecraft, than that's that. But I would like it for each time its played for it to require more votes to play again.

It's good in theory, but in execution, the other maps are sucky. So, get Cy to edit the maps to be better to get a +1
