  • Automatically give a 30 minute ban to players who suicide, disconnect, switch class or switch teams while playing as a Hale
  • Increase recharge time between super jumps
  • Apply a ping limit
  • Force stricter up/down rates
  • Reduce the movement distance required to cancel the AFK manager
  • Put an explosive timer (perhaps 60 seconds) on the last two normal players and Hale so they are forced to engage each other
That is all, for now.

I bolded everything that might work/needed some tweaking. Everything in red is fucking stupid
Why would we ban people because they don't want to play hale? And the last one wouldn't do anything. The ping limit would be nice so that we can't get those fucking laggy ass hales who have a range of 9001.

It's annoying and I remind them to do !Hale_resetq if they don't want to be hale but some people don't like to be certain hales like Headless Horseless Hale, Easter Bunny Hale, Christian Sniper Hale and only resign as hale if they become one of them. Or if you just joined and you have the highest queue points and didn't had time to reset. Can't ban them for this.
Increase recharge time between super jumps.
No, it's good enough as it is now. Not too short, not too long.
Apply a ping limit.
It happens that suddenly their ping raises because the map is too small and too many players on the same place and not the best internetprovider. Can't blame the player for it.
Force stricter up/down rates.
Can you please explain what you mean with this?
Reduce the movement distance required to cancel the AFK manager.
It's already a small distance, even smaller makes it possible for players to camp. Which makes people who are dead bored and then vote-slays will start towards the hale because of others camping.
Put an explosive timer (perhaps 60 seconds) on the last two normal players and Hale so they are forced to engage each other.
Griefing is not allowed, so get a record and report if they stall on purpose for a long period of time. Otherwise slay-vote them. (Note: Only if they are doing it on purpose, do not abuse the menu!)

The only thing that annoys me in VS hale is rage spammers, so mine would be to make rage take longer to build. Like 3000-5000 hp per rage or something.

"Why would we ban people because they don't want to play hale?"
Because they should just reset their queue points. Some people don't get a chance to reset their queue points because the last person suicided though, so they feel they have to do it as well. Then you regularly end up with 2 or 3 rounds in a row of Hale's suiciding. This will force them to either grow a pair and actually play the round or else be more considerate to the server by resetting their points regularly.

"And the last one wouldn't do anything."
Of course it would do something. It forces them to fight, instead of scouts just running away or any class hiding. Especially those friendlies refusing to kill each other at the end.

Oh, he wasted 3 seconds of my life D: lets ban him for half an hour

No it doesn't, it forces the useless scouts to run away and make it a stale mate, because if they actually fought they wouldn't have a chance, it's more of a scape goats for fan+bonk+sandman scouts than it would be helpful

There's Hale's I hate to play, there's times when I join a server and instantly become Hale, there's times when I get Hale because of chain suicides by others and I regularly reset my points because I don't like playing Hale in general but I don't suicide when I get caught out by it. Others should be so considerate, by force if it has to be.

No, it's good enough as it is now. Not too short, not too long.
No it's abused by many to jump in and out of crowds with little risk. They should "Fight like a man" as Hale himself says.

Fair point.

Can you please explain what you mean with this?
People avoiding or doing damage by abusing config commands that dictate communication of their position and actions to the server.

It's already a small distance, even smaller makes it possible for players to camp. Which makes people who are dead bored and then vote-slays will start towards the hale because of others camping.
It's barely within the limits of some spots that a sniper can get to and having to move to stop the AFK manager risks falling from those places.

Griefing is not allowed, so get a record and report if they stall on purpose for a long period of time. Otherwise slay-vote them. (Note: Only if they are doing it on purpose, do not abuse the menu!)
A more automated process would let the server run smoother and more consistently with TF2's pace.

This. Is. The. Internet. There is NO place where you will get people to be "considerate" unless you are friends with them. It's a place where nine year olds mic spam and say that scouts have "fucking speedhacks" If you don't like people like that, they are NOT going to change.

Then what happens is they don't do anything, just standing there like AFK till they are dead. Loses us more time than just kill themself.

It's not abused, people use it to stump and ofcourse you don't stand in a crowd if you gonna die instantly by it. It's the game. You want them to "fight like a man" because now they are "fighting like a female" then? Or what's your point about that state?

Griefing is against the rules so if someone is griefing: Report in!
It's barely within the limits of some spots that a sniper can get to and having to move to stop the AFK manager risks falling from those places.
Then they have to deal with it because camping is not tolerated. Hales get slayed because snipers and engeneers go camping and Hale is trying to reach them without losing the fight instantly. Everyone wants to try winning. It's unfair that Hales cannot go camping but anyone else can?
A more automated process would let the server run smoother and more consistently with TF2's pace.
No, they both try to survive and sometimes it takes a bit longer but there is a timelimit on the map anyway.

If a player doesn't want to play as hale on a hale server and prefers to play a normal class vs hale and they forget to reset their que points, I really don't see a reason why they shouldn't. You are in no position to say "oh, welp, you ended up as hale, your fate is now sealed". If a player doesn't want to play as hale, that's his choice. You just need to wait until a player who doesn't mind playing as hale becomes hale, and just deal with it until then. Again, if they don't wanna play as hale, then they just don't play as fucking hale. I don't understand why suiciding to avoid it bothers you.

Increase recharge time between super jumps
Super jump is fine as is.

Apply a ping limit
Not everyone can be expected to have good ping. There is only 1 US vsh, and if a person is in like california or something than it's just not fair to have a ping limit like that.

Force stricter up/down rates
I don't think ANYBODY understands what you mean by that.

Reduce the movement distance required to cancel the AFK manager
I don't even know what kind of difference that would make. From what I can tell, the afk manager cancels as soon as you move.

Vote-slay and /report already do the job this would do of Vote-slaying scouts who just run away, and reporting friendly's. My guess is you may have used or been in server when vote-slay was initiated, but you've never actually reported. Most people don't think /report is effective until they actually report, then find it's actually pretty effective.
