This ban for votemenu abuse is for trying to get rid of a guy named something like 'White people rule - Go hitler' or something similar... this is a lot worse than saying 'nigger' which people get banned over and over for.

I even tried to get mittens to ban him and he agreed it's borderline but didn't want to touch him anyways.

I voted the guy what... 3 times? total? I had like 80%+ on each vote...

I'll get other regulars from egypt to support this... Hopefully we can come to an intelligent conclusion this time around.

I also can vouch for YourMom. He is always fun to play with and has never done anything to cause problems. He has never said anything racial or derogatory, and in turn helps get rid of those who do.
 
I was the one that muted you. I was on the server and gave console warning to NOT abuse the votemenu. You still called a vote. The vote was a vote silence as you can see from your chat log.​

This guy was talking trash on you and your friends, and you didn't like it so you tried to silence him. You seem to think that you and your friends run that server and you are the only ones that can talk trash. Well, now you can't even talk.​

Also, you have changed your name like 5 times since your silence. Some admins consider that dodging the silence and will ban. Since you have had like 6 offenses, that would be a permanent ban.​
 
I served whatever you guys thought was ok to give me previously, even though I appealed a good lot of them (except the micspam ones, which were deserved, I guess. I was playing music). The last month old one, if you check, was for saying don't call me nigger to a guy that called me nigger. I got a month for racism and I didn't fight it too much even though it was completly undeserved.

I'm just saying don't look at past bans without context.... plus it snowballs.. oh we'll ban you a 9th time cause you have 8 already! Oh we'll ban you a 10th time, you must deserve it! You got banned a 9th time! ..

Think for a second. :)
 
Your Mom has been a great member and player abiding by rules and being fair to others. I have noticed this in other servers even before we sent freind requests. He was trying to rid the server of another player who was not as rule abiding and very disruptive to the rest of the players. He did nothing wrong, please unban his mic priveledges. He wants to follow the rules so that this doesn't happen because nobody wants to have this punishment, especially when he is a very humorous, respectful, talented, and friendly member of our group. Thank you for taking time to read this and please consider his ban repeal.
 
For the nazi thing.. I did vote a guy for having hitler and white people rule in his name, and asked mittens to ban him. He can confirm, he even played with us a few rounds.

I thought that was why I got the ban.
 
Maybe you shouldn't have wished for an intelligent conclusion, Mom. I think you would have fared better with the dumb one.
 
I think the main problem with this is that you guys don't seem to have a regular that plays on your egypt server. If you did, you would know I can't be more okay. I have never played any of you even though I spend my evenings on egypt. Except 3 rounds with mittens :S
 
Yourmom is a great member of eqypt and follows the server rules. He has done nothing wrong. I have never heard him say anything racial or bad on the server. He helps get rid of those who are going bad things to keep the server clean and fun for everyone.

We did try a while go to have a local egypt delagate for us, but nothing ever came to fruition. We understand we don't run the servers, we merely come and play like any other client even though we like to think we have a good community. I like to think we're something a little special(maybe we're not), after 2+ years of playing on SKIAL servers I haven't seen such grouping as big as ours (maybe COLDFRONT & KOTH maps in the passing with returning players), we're not all on eachother's friend lists, but know eachother well. We don't push others around, we don't cheat, we don't intentionally try to be disrespectful. Yes, Mom has a checkered past and I wasn't there to witness all of them, but he's still a good guy and I know he would learn from his mistake to avoid this again in the future.
 
I'd like to remember why I called 2 votes on brick... I really would. There was a lot of shit going on that night (which wouldn't happen btw if you guys had admins on egypt) and the one I remember is the hitler guy because he really pissed me off. I didn't argue in private with mittens for 30 mins to get him banned for no reason.

I'm sure he said something that at least half-deserved it though because if I wanted to mute people who just annoy me, I'd spend entire nights trying to mute SHISH and other people I consider idiots. I don't. I don't also consider that I run the server as your nice admin implied there.
 
On a side note, and I've said it before, warning people over a LINE OF TEXT at the bottom of their screen while in an action packed FPS does NOT work.
Nobody worth keeping on a server will see your text because they are busy killing stuff and helping their team.
 
Considering you have no explanation for the votes, and you've already been given one more chance than you should have been, I don't see any reason to make an exception to our rules for you here.

It was a console warning that showed up in big text in the middle of everyone's screen. Not in text chat.
 
I am new to TF2 and to Skial. I have played exclusively on Egypt with a lot of the same people including YourMom since I started.
I saw and heard NOTHING YourMom should be muted for - short term OR long term.
Your server has been a mess this past week. I'm not sure why you would punish someone for starting a vote where majority rules - in case you are wondering I voted YES both times to mute Brick - Sadly Brick wasn't muted - I don't think... YourMom was trying to stop offensive chatter - which I VERY MUCH appreciate (Thanks YourMom). I can't tell you the amount of times I have heard "I just raped your ass" or "I'm going to rape you" as well as the "N" word this past week. I'm willing to bet that person/persons isn't permanently muted.
I think that calling a vote 2 times then banned from chat short term or long term is ridiculous - whether there are past offenses or not. Especially since I am reading you don't personally monitor your own servers.
This is NOT a good message or image you will be sending to your loyal players - as YourMom is a great player and well liked on the server.
 
Are you joking? I was there when you got muted. I play often on Egypt, and I play often with the person you were attempting to call votes on, brick, as well. I was there that night when chuckwagon put out a csay to stop abusing the votemenu and you did it anyway. Don't try to act like you're always in Egypt being helpful, because I've been there multiple times when you've been muted for both micspamming as well as when mittens muted you for being racist.
It's permanent now, you should've watched what you were doing after having such an extensive history, and by that I don't mean typing "!admin" every 5 minutes to make sure you're not about to get in trouble.
 
So let me get this straight. It's totally cool if people get on the server making racist remarks towards people, making fun of cancer and autism, etc...but when someone tries to stop it, they get permanently banned?

Trying looking up the player "Sorter", who has been making racist comments all week and yet nothing has been done about it.
