Possible new rating system

Since there is a lot of talk in regards to the current system as well as loads of changes, why not just make a new one? Instead of having the options we have, make a reputation meter. Instead of rating someone as agree, dumb, troll, etc - add or remove reputation.

If you find someones post to be good, +rep
If you find someones post to be bad, -rep
If you agree with most of their post, +rep
If you disagree with most of their post, -rep

Simple and anonymous.

The entire concept is based on a persons reputation. The higher it is, the more likely they are being honest or know what they're doing. At least that's how it should work. If someone is in the red, negative rep, it's a public way to show they are either a troll or don't know what they're talking about.

Yeah sure, if you want to go look at it. This is simply a suggested alternative to the current system which allows for a fair rating system while remaining anonymous.

Also to add to this - my idea of a 'reputation bar' would not be green/grey/red. The higher rep you have, more green bars you get. If you go negative rep, you get more red bars. Green bars go right, red bars go left.

You can't see positive AND negative rep. You either have good rep, no rep, or bad rep.

This was simply a suggestion of an idea. Ideas, obviously, are able to be tweaked into a final product.
