Classic Games that Summarize Childhood

I just started playing Metroid 2 on my gba again and it started to remind me of all of the games I started playing when I was young. Zelda: Oracle of Seasons/Ages, Metroid Fusion, Crash Bandicoot, and the entire Wario Land series just to name a few. What are your childhood favorites that you still remember?

EDIT: Can a mod move this to the other games section. I feel this thread would be more relevant there than in general.

I was big on the Crash Bandicoot series and Spyro the Dragon series. My first console was a PSone. I also enjoyed playing super mario world on the SNES at a friends place before I owned my first console.

I had and still have my SNES, Gamecube, and a butt-ton of old portables. My friend had ps1 and ps2 so we would trade games and consoles on occasion so we could play pretty much play every game we saw prior to the xbox.

My Uncle had quite a few consoles, SNES and Genesis included, so I had the best of both worlds. Super Metroid, Super Mario World, Gunstar Heroes (best damn 2D co op shooter ever), Sonic 2, DAMN good memories.
