So last week i decided to clean everything off my laptop and to start over. So here i am....

Laptop : acer aspire 8942g
Basicly the problem is, i can't play any game because my video card is not recognized.
The laptop is now using : Standard VGA Graphics Adapter, while it has a ATI (mobility radeon) HD 5650 graphic card in it. I've downloaded about every driver i could, but it's still not working.

Basicly i know nothing about this stuff...so a bit of help would be welcome

Have you tried the Driver Verification Tool found on their website?

've downloaded about every driver i could, but

I hope that you did uninstall each driver prior to trying a new one, otherwise it could lead to a very messy situation.
if that's the case, remove each driver from your system that you tried to install (and restart the computer to be on the safe side) and then verify your computer with the tool I linked.

  1. Download and install Acer Aspire 8942G Chipset Driver;
  2. Start -> Computer (right click) -> Manage -> Device Manager and delete existing VGA driver;
  3. Download and install one of the following drivers:
  4. See if your issue is resolved.
