I think saying "being an Admin is nothing" is alright honestly. At least with me as it shows this person has kept being admin in context of the larger world. I have a general respect for server admins as they have taken the time to sign up and do something that requires them to take a lot of shit and deal with jackasses all day, some admins garner more respect from me and it tends to be the ones who take a more casual attitude towards it as opposed to letting it blow their ego to levels approaching the size of mine haha. Outside of gaming communities, how do current admins friends and family generally perceive their being an admin when compared to the other jobs/careers that some of you have? I'm not saying it's "nothing", as I have more respect for what you do than that, but isn't really the same as what many of us do outside of Skial. Hell, I've thought of applying for being an admin for that very reason, compared to what I do in life as a student and business owner, being an admin isn't something that I would end up abusing because it's something I'd do to benefit the larger community, not to feed my ego with power. Not that I will apply, don't worry, I'm having my shoulder operated on Wed and I won't be able to play for two months. No real point.
The age thing, as someone who is 26 in August does concern me...to a point. General maturity is great and can exist in most ages, but teenagers can be moody as hell sometimes, all teenagers can. A perfectly mature 15-16 year old's mood can go anywhere in a matter of seconds depending on a roughly a billion things. This as a general rule happens less to people in their mid 20s on up as our moods/hormones have stabilized. It could lead them to do something they normally wouldn't. I'd also like to see the make up of admins match the make up of players from age standpoint. Older admins can benefit from having more time in the world to better judge a situation. Not all reports are black and white and require more thought from the admins, where having "experienced" more can come in and help you. Second opinions in appeals/reports can benefit from people of varying ages as well. A young and hormonal teenage admin can see/do things differently than someone who is 25 and if a situation requires a second person's opinion, age can bring a second perspective. Having a large range of ages and experiences with your team of admins is beneficial, as it better represents the range of players that you have.
So +0 at the moment, that may change if the community as a whole seems to think you'd be good at it. It isn't anything person, I'd just like to see more diversity in the admin make up here to better represent the demographics of the players themselves.
