I don't plan on traveling. Haven't in years. College stuff will probably anchor me here for that time span and onwards.

You have silenced someone for racism but they reconnect to the server a few minutes later on a different account. They admit openly that they are the same person who was just muted. What do you do?

One day ban for dodging. If SourceBans brings up priors, adjusted for those.

But you just gave a one day silence for racism and he has now broken another rule.

Also, how do you know for sure it's the same person? It could be a friend trolling...

Oops, didn't notice the racism part. Just thought it was a silence for x reason. Compounded with racism it'd be three days rather than one.

I assumed this person was doing it on mic where it'd be obvious they're the same person.

Edit: Running late for class, I'll be back later.

If it's all been through text rather than voice I'd check the steam profile and check out previous aliases as well as how sparse their hours/friends are, as far as I know there isn't a way to check IPs of non-blocked/banned people. Found out there's crosschecking as well.

If it looks too much like an obvious alt I could add a three-day ban onto the original steamID and kick the alt.

Originally I was just going to answer with "check steam profile for obvious alt", but was also wondering why you can't bring up IPs of people in-game and compare them with IPs listed on sourcebans. There was one command, but it was with rcon which I doubt anyone other than Bott uses.

Around that time I was talking with Sarcasm and mentioned how weird I thought that was. IIRC he didn't answer immediately but later pasted a conversation with Ruelel that it wasn't against any rules letting me know that tool exists.
