Declined suggesting a higher % required for votemenu votes

people spam the votemenu votes often, i suggest you should make it a higher % (i suggest 85%, approximately 10% higher) because votes often succeed even though the victim has done nothing wrong.

an admin said in this thread that "http://www.skial.com/threads/enter-name-here-votemenu-whoring.39034/page-2" that it's nearly impossible for any vote to pass as solace for me getting votemuted for a bogus reason because in the end it had to "say something" about the legitimacy of the votemute.

so my friend decided to test it out, and the first votemute he called out against someone who hasn't said one god damn fucking thing on the server got a votemuted and votegagged with a very convincing 76%, this isn't even votemenu abuse either because it's a one time occurrence which means it's perfectly okay to screw people over, if only in moderation.

so i suggest you make it harder to pass votes, people who are actually spamming or being racist will get what's coming, and people who make random ass votes get no satisfaction out of spamming their votemenu cooldown. less victims, more justice.

Because your friend called a random vote AKA vote abuse. The guy that muted you thought you were spamming and saw that as a reason. Instigation can be seen as spam and a random vote to prove a point is abuse.

if his intent was the gag me for spamming why would he go and boast about succesfully passing the vote against me? look at the context and you'll see it's obvious why he started the vote. starting votes against people solely because you don't like them is still vote abuse.
 
If I want someone muted then it's someone who annoys everyone and we get almost 100% everytime..
If I am not sure it will pass and he deserves to be muted I call in one of the many admins that are around here or I post all my evidence recorded here and they'll handle it..

He didn't think he was spamming, if you actually look at the screenshot I posted, you see he said something like "Now who is the now mad" or something like that. So he was basically implying that he had did it to make pr1mus mad in response of being bum battered.

He was probably happy not to have heard you anymore. Next time, client mute him so this doesn't happen. He felt you were instigating and the rest of the server probably did as well.

If he was instigating by saying shit like u mad bruh!1!!!1!??? Then he would most likely respond like that.
 
The vote system will never be optimal. If the percent is too high then votes will never pass if it's too low then too many votes will pass. There will always be vote abuse either way.

This suggestion has been made before multiple times and was declined. The arguments on either side haven't changed.
 
Just add admins on your friendlist or place a report here if needed.. But it has to be one with solid proof and not where you challanged someone into this mess...

I don't see how you were punished for your opinion. This suggestion is just going in circles like the previous threads and should be declined and locked that's all.

If anything I think the percentages could be lowered a tad or just stay the same. You'll always have brainless players who pick yes regardless and same goes for those who always pick no. If it's abused, report it and they might get banned for it.
 
You were silenced because you abused the votemenu not because of your opinion.

What you did was like trying to prove that a policy on robbery needs to change by robbing someone. Then get mad when you are jailed.
 
The votemenu isn't perfect and it never will be. If everyone on the server was aware of what was going on, it may help. Good luck passing a mute on a server where all talk is off, or a ban when only you have seen the offense. That being said, add a few admins to your list but only use them if it's absolutely needed.
