This is probably going to be geared to those of us here who either A. Have or have owned a car. B. Take care of thy car. and C. Has a life away from the keyboard.

I've started to have a little bit more time than usual to myself and with the weather being as shit as an Anomaly is in The Zone, it Rains today, it's 99 degrees with no clouds tomorrow and on the third day, strong, strong winds with balls of hail raining down on our heads.

So, I can't afford to take mah Bullet to the car wash every fucking time this happens. What's good care care/cleaning product(s) to choose from that can help with those spots from the dirt and rain, the occasional bird shit, and the remnants of Tornado Alley's climaxes?

Armor All?
Turtle Wax?
Rain-X?
O'Rilley?
Some industrial-melt-your-face-off-if-you-get-splashed solvent?

Rain-X is great for the windshield, aquapel is better though. Turtle wax helps a bit, makes stuff come off easier.

Turtle Wax?

Yeah, cross Turtle Wax off the list, all it does is basically make the crap off your car easier to clean off like Oaky said, it won't always work with the deeper grime and you'll still be basically rubbing your windshield with something else. You can use Turtle Wax, just not by itself.

I recommend getting a clay bar for stuck on things. Give your car a good wash and go to town on the stuff you had problems wih.

I was actually wondering the same, I saw a commercial for some car care products, and I'm interested in buying a motorized waxer, those that look like electric drills.
Also, do NOT go for Armor All. I don't know about their wax, but if it's as shitty as their car wipes to clean the inside of the car, that shit is AWFUL.

Bird shit is the worse, the only thing that I know to get rid off it is elbow grease, even a jetwash fails to get it all.
You're not going to stop your car getting dirty no matter what products you use. Wax is probably the best way of protection for long term, as it forms a barrier between the elements and the paint, which will stop pitting of the paint, but your layer of wax will get dirty, and its easier to clean.

What the fuck do the birds where you eat? Bird shit isn't THAT difficult to get off...

False. Bugs are. Especially if you don't clean them off right away and let them sit in the sun. They literally bake into the paint.
You should try living where I do, my parking space is under a 80-100ft tree which is the local roosting spot for birds, this time of year not so bad, but once blackberry season starts that lovely purple sugary paste glues itself to my car.
Deer are the worst, they fucking total your car.
If you are about to hit a deer, they say speed up, don't brake.. makes for less damage. the only animal I ever hit was a pheasant at 70mph, looked into the rear view and just saw a large floating ball of feathers, no damage to the car whatsoever..

Ahh yeah, I remember that thread now.. 11k my god, what did the insurance company say?

Damn you must have stretched it some to fit that in there. gape for the win.

They totaled it. After the loan was paid off I got $2,000 about left over.
