Stephen Harper, your thread is now void.

Their new focus is on stuff like legalizing all drugs, completely free immigration, allowing polygamy and abolishment of compulsory schooling. Also, their congressmen just now apparently thinks it's a good idea to use tax payer money to fund animal telepathy.

So next time you complain about Republicans - they're fucking wacko, but at least they don't cater to hippies, you gotta give them that.

The legalizing all drugs things seems pretty good.

Free immigration is a nice sentiment, but I don't think it's gonna work, especially not in Sweden.

Polygamy seems good. But it's really tough to integrate.

The compulsory schooling thing doesn't sound like a good idea to me. I like individual freedoms for consenting adults, but kids too young to get jobs should be required to go to school. At least until they finish Middle school.

The dolphin telepathy thing is interesting. I've seen a lot of really cool studies where they've done something similar with monkeys. They study brain waves, and when they think they've found a pattern, they use the signals to transmit commands to robotic limbs and what-not. But that doesn't seem to be whats happening here. It looks more like some kind of weird, false causal link, pseudo science. So I'll agree that this one's stupid.

Monopoly on women, children are affected in various negative ways, personal economies spread thin, psychologist costs. Totally sucks and few people benefit from it.
The women would be agreeing to it, and who's to say it couldn't be a woman with multiple husbands? I'm not sure how children are negatively affected, besides societal prejudice. I'm not sure what you're talking about when you say personal economies will be spread thin, nor do I understand the whole "psychologist costs" thing.

This is really interesting. I wonder what would happen in the US with more than two parties that actually had a legitimate nation candidates. I know there is the Libertarian, Green, Constitutional, etc. Parties. But their candidates are usually just spoilers except for niche areas.

Also I am good with legalizing most drugs. I am not sure about opiates though. That's some intense shit. I've never done heroin but goddammit I've seen Trainspotting.

One thing I'm going to make clear before I go any further: I consider all people idiots in some way or another, including myself. With that said, young people usually go through this phase called "I know best"-phase. What the phase means is self-explanatory, and it applies to everything from relationships to world politics. Women who want to multi-marry, good for them. It usually has negative long-term psychological affects however, such as feelings of abandonment and jealousy. Does my man like her or me better? At first things might seem great and then you get into a fight with someone. What happens next? Someone in the relationship have to take a stand, and then shit starts to go down, and bam bom people getting sad.

The whole kids thing have to do with a) the more kids the harder to care for, b) if kids aren't equal to all mothers, jealousy shit starts to go down, c) kids' natural affection for their mothers means disconnection in the family.

Economy spread thin = more money to put on partners. You don't give a car to one wife and then give a gift voucher at McDonalds to another. Anything cheap means partner's aren't worth your money, anything non-equal means jealousy, anything equal and expensive means empty wallet.

As for *psychiatrist (my bad) costs, since we're talking about Sweden here that means psychiatrists are state-funded, aka tax money. The more partners in a relationship, the worse problems of equality will be, which means once the relationship is fucked you gotta drain tax money to treat all of these persons failed relationships. And there will be loads.

So in the end, the question about polygamy comes down to; Do I actually love four different women equally or do I just like having eight tits at my disposal? Frankly, I'd rather just be in a relationship with a swinger rather than devote time to "loving" four different women.
