We have a party in Sweden, the Centre Party. Out of the 8 political parties we have in Swedish congress right now, this is one of the four parties who have been the majority party at some point during the last 100 years. Before they were an agrarian party, but since most people live in cities now, they started to lose votes, and now they want it another way. At first, they were focusing on becoming a party for small companies and becoming an enviromental party for rightists (the main enviromental party in Sweden is also hardcore-socialist). This didn't work out too well, other parties covered these things better.
Okay, so so far there's nothing interesting here. If you're mittens, you probably stopped writing and rated ten different posts dumb at this point. So anyway, as of lately, as they've lost even more voters, there became this kind of chaos in the party where nobody was really sure what the heck they were going to do. Enter the young people of the party - the ones that are like 18-34 years old. These guys apparently consists of hippies - so the Centre Party is now the hippie party. And they've got people in congress.
Their new focus is on stuff like legalizing all drugs, completely free immigration, allowing polygamy and abolishment of compulsory schooling. Also, their congressmen just now apparently thinks it's a good idea to use tax payer money to fund animal telepathy.
So next time you complain about Republicans - they're fucking wacko, but at least they don't cater to hippies, you gotta give them that.
