Not at all. I'm pretty sure the main admins think in a way that is best for the community, and if that means giving up admin (inactivity, to many admins on those servers, ...) it wouldn't stop me from playing on my favourite public servers ;)

Additional Information:Hi there. I'm 24 years old, live in Belgium and play ALLOT of tf2 :)
I don't play that much on public servers, but when I do it is on the servers listed above (1-3h/day).
For me it is a way to just have some fun and relax abit. Always fun to play with random people in a friendly way. If there is one thing I hate, it's some annoying prick coming in micspamming, abusing teleporter bugs to get ppl stuck, insulting others ...
I'm not requesting to be admin to show off to others, or abuse anything related to it. I just want to be able to keep the "Skial" experience intact, and keep the servers a fun place to be.

About the "Support" thing, I just want to say this:
I am NOT going to ask ppl I know to vouch for me. I believe getting admin rights should be a position gained on trust and the opportunity to prove myself rather than the amount of friends I have on Steam.

I think it'd be a lot better if you answer the ban question correctly instead of just linking us all the commands

Ok then:
Chat: !ban (or /ban) "#STEAM_0:1:1874586" 30 "aimbot"
Console: sm_ban "#STEAM_0:1:1874586" 30 "aimbot"

It's also possible to bind a key to the SourceMod admin menu. (Example: bind "a" "sm_admin")
Most server also allow typing "/sm" or "!sm" in the chat to open the admin menu.

This guy seems legit, don't see any future admin abuse, chat log is clean skial can benefit from this guy being admin.

skial is so massive I feel it has a lack of admins in all regions. I maybe see an admin once a month for 30 min or so. If you go to one of the real popular trade servers you will always see one admin but usually 2-3

Just some small input from my side:

- Staticvoid, I have no idea how the recruiting status looks like on the EU servers, but thank you for pointing that out. I'm not expecting to be an admin tomorrow though (neither am I waiting untill the end of internet ;))
- TheStereo, I have a total of 167h, calculated that gives 6.95 days...
- This thread is not about where and when you can see admins. It's about me applying to become one, and make sure all players have a good time when I'm on that server :)

But thank you all verry much for your honest oppinion!

Wasn't applying you to a report I was saying towards his other post that we have a report system for people who are in game and are breaking rules. Also I specifically replied to him about the shit storm.

To be honest, I didn't even want to make those posts, I had to because spamfilter denied me from posting links.

You have an extremely active forum, and I understand your doubts about me not being active on here, but that's not what I'm applying for. Not because I dislike this community, not at all. I just want to make sure all gamers who are on skial servers, with 95% not even caring about this forum have a good time!
 
While I do realize that neither forum activity nor playtime have to be high in order to be accepted as an admin, they do help immensely.
You only have 6 days of connection time, and while you joined Skial in January, you barely have any posts, and as it was said before, one of them was a necrobump, and the rest were pretty much on your application.
Unless you get a lot of support, I wouldn't feel comfortable giving a +1, you should work on being a more active member of the community before people can judge :)
 
By being active on the forums, the other admins can get to know you indirectly. In that way you can earn the thrust trust of the forum community, which has seen a lot of candidates admin pass.

The same goes for support from the server communities. We do care about our communities on the servers and by getting them supporting you here, it's another way for you to gain our thrust trust and prove you are capable.

With all do respect, Toxik, I could be great at asslicking on this forum and start acting like a huge dick on the servers. Doesn't rly prove anything imo. I would agree with you if this was a place like SteamRep, but this is about granting me rights ingame, not on this forum.

I do understand your point of view though, and thank you for your input.
 
You have handled the shitstorm in your admin app pretty well and seem to be polite and mature but I dont know you at all so +0 for now but if you keep up like this I'll change that to +1

I'll admit, that was probably one of the most creative responses to the ban question I've ever seen. And you're one of the elite few to actually get that question right.

I'm going to assume you use your mic since your chat log is pretty small for someone with seven days connection time. Which is a good thing, since an admin with a mic is going to have more of a connection to players than one who simply uses chat.

I also enjoy how you handled the shit storm, rather than ignore it or try to fight it. You simply took the better man's route and brought them back on topic.

My only problem is I'm getting a really weird vibe from you, and I'm not sure what it is.

I'll give you a +.50 You can have the other half when I figure out what the vibe is.
