Dr. Tom's Application

+1. Not a regular on Dustbowl, but had played there for a couple of times and saw the applicant. Calmed and nice dude. Will be a nice addition to admins' team.
 
it looks that way but thats just me, i tend to be a little more giving than others. considering i am an existing donator, assuming most people within the dustbowl la 1 know i give out gifts all the time as well as the people in there know me from playing a long time. these posts are made my real genuine people that i have known for a while now.

A bribe is a bribe no matter how one sugar coats it's, an incentive is given so that people can give Dr.Tom support. To me its just morally wrong to gain support like that even if it is considered as a "gift".

Even if you are known to hand out gifts heck I been in the server when you have given out multiple gifts I am not faulting for that in fact I give you my respect since you don't run into many people that are just willing to give out items, my problem is that you are now expecting them to come here and say something good about you in return, or am I misinterpreting what is in the chat log.

Isn't it how Obama won his second presidential term? While it actually doesn't look good, it just proves that Dr. Tom is a committed fella who will put everything in to achieve his goal. I see nothing bad in it.

Hitler got his support by playing on Germans' conscious and pride after their country got torn apart after WW1. He bribed no one. He played on how masses were perceptioning the at-a-time reality.
Obama, on the other hand, bribed all these lazy ass jobless people with his social programs. (this is the way I see Obama's program).
 
I do not want to derail this app, so I'm editing what I posted. What I posted earlier spoke of how I felt and that elaboration at this time is not needed
 
Just an FYI, at the end it doesn't matter how long +/- 1s you get, for reference check gwor and SPYderman's app, its if he's capable and needed. We argued and made fun of SPYderman using his fame as a youtube spy to get plus 1s and he's a decent admin.

Stop bitching about support methods on his app, make a different thread debating it.

I'll take responsibility here and carry out my own actions. Yes I am motivating people to support me because I have been gifting them in the past and yes we have developed a relationship not just by gifting, but by spending time in the server numerous times with other players on a consistent basis. While it does show that these gifts are considered bribery, only but one individual marked that in the post. Moving forward, I wont be bribing anymore :( Sorry
 
Dr. Tom is honestly a really nice guy. He frequents the Dustbowl LA 1 servers, and with him on, the server just gets so much more exciting. And not to mention, this guy is really generous. He's given out a ton of gifts on that server, and has made a ton of raffles on TF2Raffles. Tom would be awesome as an admin. =)
 
While I think it's great how generous you are on the server, I personally don't think it should be factored in whether someone is a good canidate for admin. I am going to give a +0 right now due to a ban you had for mic spam/racism. I understand it was while you were gifting, but you can't be dropping N bombs over the mic or in chat.

You do seem like a nice guy though and I wish you luck.
