I see what you're saying, I was only using the Mann Co. Store prices, which, yes, in my opinion is Valve's escape plan ever since the Free 2 Play update. I'll change it, thanks for telling me!

Mann co store prices are mann co store prices, also something to note in case you didn't know this is that keys are worth actually around 1.35 USD. And it's not Valve's escape plan it's valves business, interesting fact they make 12 times more revenue off of f2p tf2 than they did off retail tf2.

I see the actual key prices on shop websites and the market beta. I'm still a little iffy on why they cost so much though in the mann co. store...

Why shouldn't it be? Keys are worth 1.35 on the market because of metal farmers and the tf2 economy, valve just set a price for keys.
