Picture My Ad Won't Close

Couldn't get it to close. Tried joining a different friend's game, but that didn't work either. Any suggestions?

Spam spacebar. Try using esc. Check if you can chat and use !forum.

It happened to a friend as well, all he did was restart steam.

I just wound up closing TF2.
Tried:

• spacebar
• hitting c (what used to close the old ads)
• esc
• chat
• semicolon (console)
• steam overlay (that worked, but didn't really solve the problem)
• screenshot (which also worked, as you can see)

press ~ and type say /forum
should get you passed that

I'll try that next time, but I dunno if my console will open.

Have to close tf2, alt f4 or task manager.
