- If you have an unusual, do you wear it in comp? What do you think about people who do and why?
I am poor and Irish and have no unusuals :(. I am generally envious of people who wear unusuals in any setting (unless they are cancer) and I honestly don't think much about it beyond that.

- What's your sensitivity (inches per 360)?
Between 5 and 6.

- What classes do you play and in what format?
I currently play engineer (and occasionally soldier) in highlander.

- 6v6 or Highlander, which do you prefer and wai?
Based on game mechanics, neither, based on the people involved . . . probably highlander.

- WAT R UR FAVORIT MAPS TO PLAY ON AND ON WAT CLAS??????
Viaduct pro as engineer; Doublecross as soldier; Turbine as engineer, soldier, or demo; Croissant as engineer

- Got any special gaming mouse or mat?
I have a cyborg RAT 7 and a big gaming mousepad that has its model name rubbed off.

-What introduced you to comp tf2?
Back in the day skial was going to have a small 6's tournament and I was going to play in that. It fell apart and I ended up joining a highlander team full of highschool kids from California because the little bit of practice I had done was pretty awesome. After a few weeks of the kids I quit that team and ended up in my current home on WSS.

My exact sensitivity is 9.977827050997785"/360

If i had an unusual I would sell it for IRL monies and would only wear it until it was sold
I think unusuals have a couple of drawbacks in comp play if you are hiding or if a sniper is focusing you.

Highlander is a great way to introduce pub players to competitive tf2, but 6's is definitely more stellar competition and will only be the bigger highlight for big games and LAN events.

I think STAR introduced me to highlander and eventually i learned about different leagues, stream, 6's, etc.

I have the Logitech G500 Mouse and Razer Goliathus Control Mousepad

I main scout, but can also play medic and solider pretty good. I'm working on my demoman and sniper play.

hi. first post.

1. i would sell any unusual i got my hands on. people that wear them stand out. i wouldn't wear it in any semi-serious game. i wear them when pubbing, though. i consider it free advertising for valve.

2. my mouse is set at 910 cpi. windows sens is at 6. no mouse accell. in-game sens is 3.45. i do not know my inches/360, sorry. i would guess it's ~5in/360.

3. i played pocket soldier in 6s when i played. i played gunboats soldier in HL when i played. i prefer 6s because every death matters. it's much more dynamic than most people think. there isn't always a spy or sniper to watch for, making them better fit into their designed roles. there's only 6 enemies which gives you an actual chance to make plays instead of happening upton a pyro/heavy/soldier around a random corner.

4. i like all standard 5 cp push style maps as soldier (roam) but i am getting in to scout. i really like cp_standin? i think that was the name. it had 3 cps and you had to have control of each one to win.

5. i use a steelseries sensai RAW. right now i have some razer mouse surface thing but i plan to get a steelseries 3HD mouse surface as well as their APEX RAW keyboard when they're released.

6. i've "clanned" since i began playing shooters. starting QWTF (quake team fortress) (yeah, i am old), followed by TFC and now TF2. in my opinion playing with a [consistent] team utilizing teamwork and communication is the best way to enjoy games like teamfortress.

also...
Question: How come there is always one demo in 6v6 why not 2?
one demo can have up to 12 ranged explosives loaded at any given time, 8 of which can be used to completely shut down just about any route given great stickie placement. if you multiply this by 2, it can cause the game to slow down to a crawl. the common idea behind almost all class and weapon limits in competitive play is keeping the game fast-paced. the game can still stall with existing limits, especially when one team is afraid to make a move/play.

1) If you have an unusual, do you wear it in comp? What do you think about people who do and why?
- I have two unusuals, one for each of my mains: Heavy (Hearts Hard Counter) and Spy (C. Moon Counterfeit). I wear them both because they are my dream unusuals, I paid too much for them to not wear it but mostly because I like to look pretty.
- I understand why people choose not to wear them, I sometimes feel like my hat makes me more noticeable for enemy Snipers when I play Heavy and easier for people to chase me down after I stab someone. I know some feel like people wear unusuals to show off their richness or because "hats = skill" or some e-peen extension, but I personally wear unusuals for myself, because they look pretty; not because I am rich (just a poor student who spends money irresponsibly).

2) What's your sensitivity (inches per 360)?
Like 6 or something, I don't really measure it so precisely. Its the highest it'll go in TF2, but my mouse isn't the best.

3) What classes do you play and in what format?
I play Heavy for my team in UGC HL, but I also play Spy in another team in ETF2L.

4) 6v6 or Highlander, which do you prefer and wai?
Highlander because it's more casual and fun and it's sightly more okay to die. I've played 6s mixes, but I can't play Scout, Soldier or Demoman to any standard higher than pub level, which means I play Medic, which I just find to be too much pressure to do on a regular basis.

5) WAT R UR FAVORIT MAPS TO PLAY ON AND ON WAT CLAS??????
- Heavy: Badwater
- Spy: Viaduct Pro + Swiftwater + Barnblitz

6) Got any special gaming mouse or mat?
I use a crap wireless Microsoft mouse (I know wireless is bad for gameplay, but I can't stand those cords that get in the way and I'm used to it). I use the surface of my desk but I'm thinking of investing in one of those huge sexy SteelSeries hard surface mousepads. Not that the desk surface isn't fine, but I hear those things provide more consistent mouse movement, which I need, especially for tracking as a Heavy (my tracking is god awful).

7) What introduced you to comp tf2?
Me and a few other Skial Payload+ EU regs thought it would be awesome if we tested our skill against other teams. None of us knew how HL or comp TF2 worked at the time, apart from one guy who watched a casted HL match once and wanted to try it out with friends. Took us ages to adjust from pub to comp playstyle, but it's our first competitive season and we're currently holding 1st place on the EU Steel leaderboards, so it's not going too shabby :)

In this thread you can ask something you're curious about from comp players.
I'm gonna start:

- If you have an unusual, do you wear it in comp? What do you think about people who do and why?
I have an unusual and i wear it cause i don't think it makes a big difference and i think it looks cool I don't care if others wear unusuals doesn't affect me

-What's your sensitivity (inches per 360)?
3.75 idk in/ 360

-What classes do you play and in what format?
medic in HL

-6v6 or Highlander, which do you prefer and wai?
HL cause im bad and i dont have the time for 6's

- WAT R UR FAVORIT MAPS TO PLAY ON AND ON WAT CLAS??????
Badwater is a legendary solider map defiantly my favorite map in tf2

- Got any special gaming mouse or mat?
no but i have a mouse pad

-I have a question. What introduced you to comp tf2?
Saw a video that STAR_ made about comp tf2 and then i learned about Fatmops channel (Salamancer) and then i thought it would be cool to play with good people all the time so i started comp

Notably Dangerous Demo-Knight
I wear an unusual because I strike fear into the hearts of my enemies as a black samurai ready to charge into battle
I use 41.9 inches per 360 according to: http://www.notalent.org/sensitivity/sensitivity.htm
I play demoman in highlander and pocket in 6's
I prefer highlander, simply because I love my team for it more than the world. Wouldn't give them up for anything.
pl_badwater and soldier
I use a logitech g500 and I have a 36 inch wide mousepad, with all the weights put into the mouse.

Oh yeah, I might as well answer too.

- I do have a Green Confetti Trilby, but I don't use it in comp games because the effect ruins some hiding spots
- I've got about 14 in / 360
- I play Scout in HL, but I'm planning to start playing 6v6 too
- I kind of like both. In my experience, the EU HL "scene" has less annoying people like shittalkers and whiners and such than 6v6 (of course everyone in 6s isn't like this, just based on people I've met)
- Don't really have one that's a lot better than the other, nor do I hate any map too much (except maybe Gravelpit). Still, maps I enjoy most are probably Badlands or Snakewater in 6s and pretty much all KOTH and 5CP and Pro Turbine in Highlander (because I can actually do something as a Scout on those).
- I use a Zowie EC2 eVo and a Puretrak Talent.
my information needs updating

- no unusual at the moment but i would probably wear it
- 15.75in / 360 for over 1.5 years now
- scout in highlander and 6v6 but i offclass as sniper sometimes to get safe picks
- both formats are nice but i have played more highlander
- 5cp and koth are generally nice maps for either format but granary is horrible in 6v6
- zowie FK and a puretrak talent

- If you have an unusual, do you wear it in comp? What do you think about people who do and why?
I do mostly because I'm too lazy to change loadouts unless I plan on using a hiding spot and therefore need to make sure no effect shows through the wall.

- What's your sensitivity (inches per 360)?
4.1, but it's 2.9 for spy with a knife and I use zoom_sensitivity_ratio 1.5 (recent switch, actually)

- What classes do you play and in what format?
Soldier, Highlander. If I do go with 6's at some point, I'll be roaming Soldier.

- 6v6 or Highlander, which do you prefer and wai?
Highlander. 6's isn't even TF2. A half-full server where only four out of nine of the classes see most of the playtime, with any class that has mechanics other than "LOL DM" being ignored, not to mention most items that could make them viable being banned? If you don't want to actually play TF2, then don't play TF2. But then again, I guess when your standard solution to any problem is "LOL DM," you don't have much choice but to play a format where that's the first, second, third, and fourth solution to any problem.

- WAT R UR FAVORIT MAPS TO PLAY ON AND ON WAT CLAS??????
Badwater as Soldier, Harvest as Scout, and Pipeline as Sniper

- Got any special gaming mouse or mat?
My mouse pad is about this size and shape and this is my mouse. Neither are very good and I'd like a mouse without angle snapping, but what're you gonna do?
