So the way I see this is it would be similar to the selling or buying prefixes but for items like hats, weapons, stranges, vintages, ect. This would allow you to narrow your search for only threads with the tag "hats" or "weapons" ect. I think this would make finding items eaiser instead of scrolling through pages of threads without the items you are looking for.

Yea but this would be faster and more effective becuase with the prefixes you can choose to show only threads starting with the prefix "buy" or "sell" instead of searching for keywords

-1 That's what titles are for.
Did you read the fucking op? there are so many trade threads that this would help narrow down the search, when searching for a strange weapon yesterday i had to scrool through 3 pages of threads before i got to one about stranges and that thread didnt have what i was looking for, but if i could narrow it down it would be much easier.

Have you ever clicked on a prefix to show only threads with that prefix? it is SO helpful idk this sounded like a good idea in my head maybe not so much
It is a good idea.....but with the features our forum alredy has....it would be pointless to add.

I don't really think Skial has an active enough trade forum to warrant microcategorization. As far as I've noticed, truly active trade threads barely extend past page one. Others are just shit people haven't bumped in a while so obviously, they'll do such when they're ready to sell their items again.

Really? are you serious? there are twice the amount of pages in tf2 trade then there is in the entire general section and teamfortress 2 section combinded
about 566 pages of trading. stop posting false shit.

False shit? Here, let me go to page 566 and drag up a trade post from 2011 cause I want to buy it now. No, what I'm talking about is TRULY active trade threads. I consider shit inactive after a day. That may be just my definition, but go to page 12 and you're already at a week since the last post. Unless you plan on sifting through everything everyone has ever wanted to sell and then hit them up in case they are still selling it that's one thing, but most people do not do that. Most people will only browse a few pages in and see what people have updated recently. Some people may have sold/bought elsewhere and didn't update, some people may be out of town doing other things, some people may have decided not to sell/buy what they were selling/wanted. Either way, if they want to sell it or buy it they'll bump the thread and it will be back on page one.

Shit is fine as is.

Well the search function is shit for me i tried to use it and didn't help at all because peoples titles don't often say exactly what they are selling and i disagree that our trade forum is not active enough to warrant micro-organization but what ever

I don't see any negatives from it, and some might find it useful to say the least.
The only issue I thought is those selling multiple items, but then I suppose there could be a tag for that, or we could reimpliment the 'trade' prefix to use for such threads and general traders.

I'd agree with the trade prefix.

That got removed because it didnt really make any sense, buy/sell/trade.. but it would make sense if we have more descriptive prefixes for the threads.

Well, everyone has a different view but when I saw Buy/Sell, I felt that meant currency such as metal/keys. Trade was for basically whatever you wanna bring to the table as an offer. That's just the way I saw it.

I see it as:
buy = someone who want's to aquire something
sell = someone who wants to get rid of something
I saw trade as those who wanted to do both.
The currency/price to me could be anything, and I would expect to find this in teh thread.
I think trade is too generic to be of use when there are only 2-3 prefixes.
