Totally Ordinary Human
I was aware of this by a certain Skial member of whom name's slips my mind, and I thought he was just being stupid.

I notice now that I was actually harsh for that opinion at the time and realize that many threads are being necrobumped by an unkown bug/user. (Bob perhaps? http://www.skial.com/members/bob.2121/)

Anywho, if this is just some "Bob"-related testing, that makes sense however if this is a bug, it should be fixed. Many random threads of which are old are getting commented on because most people arent looking at the last post date and thinking that the trade is still open.

The trade threads have the Bump button, which only the OP can use. People necropost all the time though. A lot of people don't mark their threads as closed so people don't actually know

This is why I formed the opinion on that Skial member that "showed" this to me. I actually witnessed my own trade thread being bumped by itself when last post date was in early Oct. (Also in response to the Close thing, personally I make loads of trade threads on multiple sites, on a weekly basis and therefore do not keep track of all the threads I make)

Threads that are unused should have been closed.

Should as in OP should close it, or the system automatically closes it? If it's the former, I'm just going through a mini-reaction stage on the following suggestion: Option to auto-close specific/all threads made in specific/all forum categories after X hours/days.

Bott already declined this, but it's really up to the OP to keep track of the thread. We can't really do much in an administrative capacity.

We talked about this before, but we would have to develop a plugin for this. Also, we don't want to go by X number of days because if the person hasn't sold it yet, we don't want to auto close it.
