Invalid Got banned for joke

I got banned on 11-15-12 15:31, playing with the name spraynard, on the server 108.61.46.50:27015. A player in the chat asked to ban someone because they were a "Mexican nigger". I jokingly said that I was the admin and would kick him, then said i was the owner of skial. I got a six month ban. I understand that I was impersonating an admin and that it's against the rules, but it was a joke. I was not trying to do anything serious only mocking the kids racism, who was banned as well. I do not believe a 6 month ban is fair for what I did.

This is what was said, i copied from console. Terzo_SLC's comment had been blocked by the time i copied.

I left in the random dialogue for continuity's sake. I just wanted to appeal the ban and try and reason with Ruele, the admin who banned me, and let him no it was a joke. I was not trying to gain anything malicious from impersonating an admin.

Rules

The following offenses may result in admin intervention, which may include being gagged, muted, kicked, and/or banned. Depending on the severity of the offense and if it has been repeated, a ban may be short term, long term, or permanent.
  • Spamming
  • Hacking
  • Exploiting
    ex. killing somebody with a flamethrower through a gate before the round has begun
  • Racism and other insults to gender, religion and sexual orientation. Does not include discussion of why it is against the rules.
    • Any form of the word nigger (nigga, nigg etc.) is not allowed even if you are just quoting a rap song or you are black, to prevent actual racists from using the same excuse.
  • Scamming
  • Admin impersonation
  • Posting other personal and private information without consent.
  • Dodging
    disconnecting and reconnecting to avoid being muted, gagged, banned, and/or kicked
  • Illegal sprays.
  • Harming your team for an extended period of time.
    ex. blocking sniper views, teleporter traps, refusing to help advance your teams position
All rules apply to admins as well as players. Admins absolutely can not take any action against a player without a specific rule being broken.

Rules are subject to change as per the owners and operators of the Skial community.
 
I understand that it was against the rules and inappropriate to impersonate the admin. However i was being sarcastic and was not at all trying to do anything malicious. 6 month ban for a bad joke just seemed a little harsh, but if that's the rule then what ever.

Ok dude now you made your last mistake. What you don't know is I do in fact own skial. I was aliasing in order to check up on some of my servers and admins. I have already began the process of permabanning you and by night fall will have taken you off the map, completely. I pity you and hope you may blossom into a strong young man one day. Fair well.
