Invalid LA server latency issues

A lot of people have been getting really high ping in the LA servers lately. I used to get 20-30 on the LA servers, but now its like 110-130. Right after I donated too, lol!
 
This is a better place for you to report any issues. :)

Edit: My ping seems normal.
 
My ping there is usually about fifty twoish, last two days it's been right at 115.
 
My ping hasn't changed. It is probably an ISP connection that is congested or broken. I've emailed the host to look into it.
 
Looking at that traceroute it would appear that there is an issue with the
routes outside of our network and control. I will pass this on to a network
administrator for further review.

:) Thanks I wasnt sure... from all the post in the Reports... It looked like a place where people would "report" on other people. haha.

Yeah that's what most of the reports are about, but pretty much any issue should just be posted here.
 
I checked my ISP they said just "restart" and "unplug" everything. Its weird because I live in LA and the ping is at 130. I give props to the die hards who have 400 to 500 ping players, who I are on the server. Thanks for checking up on it, much appreciated.
 
Based on what I'm seeing at&t is announcing those ips to Cogent in Texas instead of locally in LA. I've kicked off a notice to Cogent for them to investigate further on their end.

It sucks if you are affected by the ping, but this isn't a problem on our end or even our host's fault. The internet is made up of multiple owners and if someone in the middle fucks up you may be affected.

It looks like you are on SBCglobal which is owned by AT&T so it is your ISP's fault.
 
My high ping is usually associated with someone with a 300-600 ping that lags the rest of the server. So, when you get a high ping check out the fellow players and see if anyone has a really high ping.

All of those dustbowl pings save for the eu ones are way, way off.
There's no reason at all that Texas Dustbowl should give me a better ping that La or Chicago.
