Sandvich Glitch

If you press q or 1 and 3 it switches to your weapon while you're eating. So it won't heal you
 
lol, he's talking about when you switch back to your weapon early while eating your sandwich.

It stops healing you. That isn't a bug.
 
i've had this happen to me before.
i'd eat the sandvich and it would switch to my minigun before i got any health back.
it involves the fact that we can switch weapons during the taunt on skial servers.

it automatically forces me to switch.
and bottiger CAN fix this as it's a server command that allows people to change weapons during taunts

except eating the sandwich isn't a taunt unless you hit "g"

if you hit "G" it won't heal you anyway

but its funny when you do the ubersaw taunt and switch to your syringe gun!

eating the sandvich IS a taunt.
i've pressed m1 and ate it then it forced me to the minigun so i got no health from it
 
If you M1 a sandvich on a server with taunt switch you get healed.
You taunt with it it bugs out and you lose the sandvich and don't get healed.
Its a bug thats been around forever.

it does heal you when you taunt with it.
 
Just eat sandvich with m1 and not with taunt (G), think thats the solution going by the responses... never seen nor heard of this, and I've eaten plenty of sandviches, looks like there is no need to remove taunt switch, and its fun to box with mini gun.
 
So let me get this straight.
You want the couple of seconds of healing that eating a sandvich gets you, with the ability to spin up or fire your weapon.
So in short, you want to be your own Heavy medic combo?

I can't see anyway this can be exploited whatsoever.

I've done the taunt switch and gotten no health, but I did it on purpose, never had it auto-swap weapons. Just use M1 to eat Sandvich, problem solved.

i always m1 with sandviches and it forces me over to my minigun so i cant eat or even shoot with the minigun.
