Combat Engineers, get enough of them on the opposing team building mini sentries and at least one good lvl 3 sentry in the DMZ and you have problems. This is especially problematic in 2Fort or Turbine.

Pontiac Aztec is a pretty skillful scout and DAMN... He is annoying as hell. But usually when I take my Liberty Launcher (which is considered lame to play with for whatever reason) - he is getting pissed pretty fast.

In this case I don't give a fucking shit and I love my Liberty Launcher.. Bite me...

EDT: following this logic, Pompson is lame too because of abnormal damage it causes to Spies and Medics.

EDIT2: Oh, and 25% of reduction of the rockets in the launcher is not a downside anymore, now is it?
 
having 1 less rocket is a big downside but being able to shoot a random crit across the map and kill a medic is pretty bs

Like 1 crit in 20 shots. What a big fucking deal. Demo gets more freaking crits with his sticky bomb launcher.

EDIT: Just to make it clear: I use Liberty just because of rockets' speed. That's it.

As a decent pyro, I don't mind liberty launchers, I can understand why scouts despise the thing however. I think in most cases people are going to choose their hard counters, I personally get annoyed at a competent heavy medic pair, I respect skill but tbh in a pub its not a whole lot of skill requirement to get 10 doms as a heavymedic pair lol.

I will also say that a really good scout should be ransacking everyone on the opposing team.
 
Scouts. No contest there.

If they are bad, they are still annoying decoys that get you killed. If they are good, they are annoying decoys that can kill you as well.
 
At first I was really annoyed by demos. But then I figured out, that they can't do much when you are in the air. So I started rocketjumping and bombing them from above. Thats really effective.
Then I was annoyed by pyros. Not w+m1 ones, which ask for airhsot, after rocket shoot into the legs. Airblasting ones. But then I figured out, that its preety easy to break amplitude of shooting, and make them confuse and fail deflects. After 1 or 2 hits, its enough just to make a few shots from shotgun and they are done.
Scouts. After few mge trainings I found that theres no need to spam, since he can just easily escape explosion area. You need to be patient, then count them making double jump and send a rocket into landing area. Its enough make a 1-2 shots from shotgun after that.
Spies and snipers. Any of those from +5 division are annoying as hell, and as a soldier you can't do much against them. Rocketjump, strafe, spam - you will get headshot'd. Spies are ninjas. He will get you in the moment you haven't expected him.
But those are rare. Lesson is that every annoying stuff got their counter action which is learnable.
