Hello, I may edit this thread a few times since I am fairly new to Access and may change things around if I have a new question.

Currently using - Access 2003

So, I'm designing a report, and I want to have basically a rectangle underlayed beneath a few text fields to create a background of sorts for that group of text fields. However, no matter what I do the rectangle is on top of the text fields and not underneath like I desire. Is there a way to change the way two fields stack on top of one another? (like as in being able to change what is on top/bottom when one field overlaps the other)

Additionally, if there is no way to change this - does anyone know of a better/easier way to create a background localized to a specific area without coloring the entire report?

If you right click on the box there should be a send to back option. I haven't used 2003 in forever though.

I wish I could say I didn't use 2003 anymore. They told us we're getting Office 2010, but that was like months to a year ago.

Anyways, I tried finding something like what you're talking about but I didn't see it. I'll definitely do some more searching for something similar.

look for something like "ordering" or "positioning", then "send to back"

These are pretty much my only options with a rectangle shape and I don't really see anything similar. Back style just has Normal and Transparent.
