Declined Make Chat Say "Use !report" Instead of "/report"

So. If you use /report, it doesn't appear in the chatlogs. If you use !report, it does show in the chat (as far as I'm aware of, since I've seen !votemenu in chat logs many times in Stats). This way, when people don't provide evidence, we'll have evidence in the logs.

Of course, people can still use the / version, but advertising the ! version would make people use that more commonly.

not really. i can type
!votereport

all day and not actually call a report. What proof do you have that i actually made a report?

if you have a "ohh your spamming" argument

what if i type
!votereport every 5 mins?

valid argument is valid.

the point i am making is even if this is implementing we would still be at the exact same spot. We still need a screenshot to prove he actually called a report.

lets say i reported you for being afk when you were not. i type !report in once.

now. the report didn't pass. you didn't take a screenshot.

where is the proof? you can't just say "CINIC BAN ZEBRA HE REPORTED ME! LOOK HE EVEN TYPED !VOTEREPORT IN CHAT"

The chat logs record the !_ commands. We could easily look back at them and see when he called the reports

if it was 1 vote it shouldn't matter. If its multiple I can take a screen shot/ and then you'd have a lot of !reports.
I really can't quite understand what you're saying.

This addition would not hurt at all. All it can do is good for our moderators.

okay lets say i report you once a day. !report

no screenshots. votes don't pass.

again. where is your proof that i am calling fake reports.
 
Once again, the chat logs record the !_ commands, not the /_ commands. We want to make it to where people are forced to use the !_ version so we know how many times the person used the command.

Not "Forced" but its just advertised as "!_"

People use !report just to see other's K/D on pubs for example... They don't necessary report anyone, just curious how do they compare to the others.

Hm. Didn't know that.

ANYWAYS.
It makes ZERO difference but to show that they were calling reports in the chat logs, which can be useful if someone is being accused of !report abuse.

I never even thought of that :suspicious:

But I mean, all they can do is type it once and see everyone's K/D, so they shouldn't be typing it that much.
Also, its not like im saying that moderators should scan for !reports and !votereports out of the blue, just when looking through a reported guys chatlog.

K/Ds tend to change : )

I'm not against the idea of changing one character in the server message and more logs can't hurt at all, I was just simply answering a question.

I know, but I mean they really shouldn't be typing it that much to be suspicious.
