Ban reason: Racism/Civilian Exploit

Haven't been talking so I know I haven't said anything racist. Don't know what civilian exploiting is or how to do any type of exploiting. Please investigate and unban me. Thanks.
 
Unless it was over mic, I didn't see anything racist what so ever.
Also civi is indeed a bannable exploit.
 
the racisms ban was for his weapon names

I can only assume that it's some kind of graphics glitch. In my year of playing TF2, I have never once been accused of any kind of cheating. I don't know how to disprove this anomaly.


As for the name "Imminent Holocaust", I was simple attempting to indicate impending destruction on a massive scale by fire, as is the definition of the phrase. It IS a flamethrower after all, how is that racist?

I did not post that in your defense. I posted that because I've never seen that glitch before.
 
just a tip just wait out the ban and dont start arguing (i know your not atm) because ive seen many people appeal then get an extra week added onto their ban

No. That's because people investigated and found worse things in their chatlogs. This shouldn't have anything to do with it.

Now, the civilian glitch. It's not merely a graphical glitch. It's obvious when someone intentionally goes to the civilian mode. HOWEVER, it COULD be possible it was merely a graphical glitch: Though, while I've heard of many glitches, never heard of someone getting glitched into civilian.

Basically? Not enough evidence to decide anything yet. I wonder if giildy has a demo?
 
i dunno, i did the record demo thingy before the screen shots because it might have been a glitch and it didn't fix it on my end.

i dunno, i'm not married to the ban tbh. o.o

also yeah i don't have a demo, it was early o clock and i was dumb.
 
If you recorded a demo then yeah it'll fix any and all graphical glitches.

And now we come to the "whose evidence is better" shitstorm. Consider me out.

I'm not trying to cast doubt on the ban or usurp Ruelel's authority over the ban, I was just throwing out my experience with this kind of thing. I have actually never seen this glitch before outside of it being a graphics problem. As I said in the other thread, recording a demo always fixes it when I've seen it. If you tried to do a record and it didn't fix it then that's possibly good evidence there was trickery afoot.

I'm going to stop posting on this now since I had nothing to do with it and I don't want to derail the thread. Just putting in my 2 cents.
 
also, if tthe civilian glitch thing exclusively is considered griefing because weapons can't be used then you should remove the ban, i only noticed the flamethrower name because i got killed by it. (i msgd ruelel and asked him if it was bannable because i didn't know you couldn't use weps. it was weird either way)
 
Most people think of the Jewish extermination when somebody says holocaust, so even if you didn't mean any harm I'd still consider changing it.

"Holocaust" is not the best word to use to imply the impeding destruction.

I see your point (definition #1), but most of the people would associate "holocaust" with mass murder of Jews, not with "a slaughter on a mass scale caused by fire".
I think that the name of this flamethrower should be taken out of discussion at this point even though it would've been appreciated if you could use other than "holocaust" word.
Just my two cents.

why? this is an exploit therefore it is a bannable offense.

straight from the rules
  • Using exploits (e.g., killing somebody with a flamethrower through a gate before the round has begun).
  • Harming your team for an extended period of time. (e.g., blocking sniper views, teleporter traps, refusing to help advance your teams position). The lobby servers are subject to stricter interpretation of this rule.

Either way he will still have to wait the 3 days cause of his flamethrowers name:

  • Any insults regarding race, gender, religion, or sexual orientation. Nobody on server being offended is not a loophole. This does not include simple discussion of these topics in an intellectual manner.
