Has anyone been to a Festival Before?

Anyway's, I'm attending the Leeds Festival 2012 this year, and Have never been to a festival before in my life, well music one anyway. Are they actually that good and what people make them out to be?

and how come your ticket cost so much? mine was just under £200 i think

I like the Greek festival. Gone for three years, the food is amazing and the music is great.
